Passionfroot Raises $15M Series A to Expand B2B Creator Platform

German startup Passionfroot has secured $15 million in funding led by Insight Partners to accelerate its growth in the U.S. and Brazil. The platform, which connects brands with business-to-business creators, reported a thirteenfold revenue increase last year. The capital will support workforce growth and the development of new AI-driven marketing tools for enterprise clients.

Detailed Coverage

Passionfroot, a Berlin-based startup that operates a marketplace for business-to-business (B2B) creators, has completed a $15 million Series A funding round. This latest investment brings the company’s total funding to more than $21 million. Insight Partners led the round, with additional backing from existing investors including Creandum, Supernode Global, and s16vc.

Strategic Expansion and Operational Growth

The company plans to use these funds to establish a physical presence in New York and Sao Paulo. Co-founder and CEO Jen Phan will relocate to the United States to manage the American operations. This expansion comes as the company seeks to scale its workforce, which currently stands at 15 employees, to support its growing client base. The move is designed to capture increasing interest from B2B brands that are shifting toward creator-led marketing strategies on platforms like LinkedIn, Substack, and podcasts.

Platform Performance and AI Integration

Passionfroot reported a thirteenfold increase in revenue over the last year. The company’s platform serves a portfolio of clients that includes firms such as ElevenLabs, Figma, Replit, Framer, and Gamma. Over the past 18 months, the marketplace has facilitated at least $10 million in payments to creators.

Since its previous funding round in 2024, the company has focused on integrating artificial intelligence into its service offerings. It recently launched an AI agent called Zest, which is designed to automate the creation, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns. Zest helps brands identify relevant creators by analyzing performance data from previous campaigns. The company is now working on advanced features that aim to help clients measure how their marketing content performs within AI-generated search results and broader AI citation tools.

Investor Considerations and Future Outlook

For investors monitoring the creator economy, the primary area of interest remains the sustainability of B2B creator spending as AI-generated content becomes more common. While Passionfroot has demonstrated significant revenue growth, the company operates in a highly competitive digital marketing technology sector. Future success will depend on its ability to maintain its proprietary creator graph and prove that its AI tools, such as Zest, provide measurable return on investment for large enterprise clients. Investors will likely track the company's progress in navigating the regulatory and operational complexities of scaling in new international markets like the United States and Brazil, as well as its ability to retain its current client base amidst rapid shifts in AI marketing trends.
