Libya ke onshore Block Area 95/96 mein exploration well number six, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) ke liye hydrocarbon ka pata lagane mein safal rahi hai. Yeh safalta is block ki sambhavna ko aur mazboot karti hai aur IOCL ke videshi energy production ke lakshyon mein madadgar sabit hogi.
IOCL ki is exploration block mein 25% ki hissedari hai. Is block ka sanchalan (operation) Sonatrach International Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation kar rahi hai. Block 95/96 mein exploration program ke antargat kul 8 wells ki khodai ki jayegi.

Ghadames Basin, jismein Block 95/96 sthit hai, mein exploration mein pehle bhi chunautiyan aayi hain. Ismein force majeure aur suraksha sambandhi chintaon ke daur shamil hain, jo operational challenges paida kar sakte hain.
Isi kshetra mein, ONGC ki videshi arm ONGC Videsh, kai deshon mein bade exploration aur production projects ko manage karti hai. Oil India Limited (OIL) ki bhi videshi upasthiti hai, jo aksar IOCL ke saath milkar aise ventures par kaam karti hai.
