ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਐਨਰਜੀ ਐਕਸਚੇਂਜ (IEX) ਨੇ ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੁੱਲ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਪਾਰ ਵੌਲਯੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ 16.5% ਸਾਲ-ਦਰ-ਸਾਲ (YoY) ਵਾਧਾ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ 11,233 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਯੂਨਿਟਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਲ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਖਪਤ ਵਿੱਚ 6% YoY ਘਾਟਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਇਹ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਐਕਸਚੇਂਜ ਨੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਗਿਰਾਵਟ ਦੇਖੀ ਹੈ। ਡੇ-ਅਹੈੱਡ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ (DAM) ਕਲੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਸ 32% ਘੱਟ ਕੇ 2.67 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਅਤੇ ਰੀਅਲ-ਟਾਈਮ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ (RTM) ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ 27.8% ਘੱਟ ਕੇ 2.73 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ। ਹਾਈਡਰੋ, ਵਿੰਡ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਲਰ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀ ਹੋਈ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਲਿਕਵਿਡਿਟੀ (liquidity) ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਘਟੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕੋਲੇ 'ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਉਤਪਾਦਨ ਵੀ ਸਥਿਰ ਰਿਹਾ। ਘੱਟ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਡਿਸਟ੍ਰੀਬਿਊਸ਼ਨ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਪਾਰਕ/ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਖਪਤਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਖਰੀਦ ਖਰਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦੇ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
IEX ਦੇ ਸੈਗਮੈਂਟਸ ਵਿੱਚ, ਡੇ-ਅਹੈੱਡ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ (DAM) ਵੌਲਯੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ 6.7% YoY ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜੋ 4,684 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਯੂਨਿਟਾਂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੁੱਲ ਵੌਲਯੂਮ ਦਾ 38.7% ਹਿੱਸਾ ਸੀ। ਰੀਅਲ-ਟਾਈਮ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ (RTM) ਨੇ 46.8% ਵਾਧੇ ਨਾਲ 4,583 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਯੂਨਿਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਪਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜੋ ਕੁੱਲ ਵੌਲਯੂਮ ਦਾ 37.8% ਸੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਟਰਮ-ਅਹੈੱਡ ਮਾਰਕੀਟ (TAM) ਵੌਲਯੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ 27.7% ਗਿਰਾਵਟ ਆਈ।
