जागतिक स्तरावर जेट फ्युएलच्या किमतीत मोठी वाढ झाली आहे. फेब्रुवारी 2026 च्या अखेरीस $99.40 प्रति बॅरलवरून वाढून 8 मे 2026 रोजी संपलेल्या आठवड्यासाठी या किमती $162.89 प्रति बॅरलवर पोहोचल्या आहेत. पश्चिम आशियातील तणावामुळे या किमती आणखी वाढण्याची शक्यता आहे. विमानांच्या एकूण ऑपरेटिंग खर्चापैकी 35-40% खर्च इंधनावर होतो. या कर कपातीमुळे मुंबई विमानतळावर इंधन भरणे हे दिल्ली विमानतळापेक्षा स्वस्त होणार आहे, जिथे व्हॅट 25% आहे. महाराष्ट्रातील पुणे आणि नागपूर विमानतळांनाही याचा फायदा होईल.
