Par asli game toh ab shuru hua hai! Rapido ne bike taxis aur auto se Uber aur Ola ko takkar di hai. July 2025 ka data dekho toh Rapido ne monthly active Android users mein Uber ko piche chhod diya hai – Rapido ke 50 million users hain jabki Uber ke 30 million. 4-wheeler cabs mein bhi Rapido ne 30% market share pakad li hai, Uber ke 50% ke saamne. Iss competition ko dekh kar Uber bhi apni fares kam karne aur drivers ke liye subscription model laane par soch raha hai.
Aur toh aur, February 2026 mein ek naya player aaya hai – Bharat Taxi. Ye ek cooperative model par kaam kar raha hai, jahan drivers hi malik hain. Matlab zero commission, kam fares, aur drivers ki zyada fikar. Yeh model Rapido aur uske competitors ke liye badi chunauti ban sakta hai.
Drivers Ke Dukhde Aur Sarkari Chakkar
Sab itna smooth nahi hai. Haaal hi mein 7 February 2026 ko national level par drivers ne strike kiya tha 'All India Breakdown' naam se. Delhi se lekar bade cities tak services bandh thi. Drivers ki demanding hai ki unko 'arbitrary' fare policies, kam earnings, aur government ki taraf se koi rules nahi hone se dikkat hai. Woh chahte hain ki government minimum base fares decide kare.
Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union ka kehna hai ki lagbhag 40% gig workers mahine ke ₹15,000 se bhi kam kama rahe hain. Ye log 'independent contractors' hain, commercial vehicles use nahi kar rahe, aur guidelines jaise Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines, 2025 ka sahi se implementation nahi ho raha. Upar se har ride par 5% GST bhi unki kamai mein se ja raha hai.
Risk Factor Kya Hai?
Rapido ki aggressive growth ke chakkar mein company ka loss badh raha hai aur paisa bhi jaldi kharch ho raha hai (cash burn). FY25 mein gross order value $1.25 billion ho gaya, par financial strain bhi badh gayi. Competition toh hai hi, upar se naye models bhi aa rahe hain. Aur haan, Rapido ko galat advertisement ke liye fine bhi laga hai, jo brand image ke liye acha nahi. Drivers ke protest aur regulations ko lekar ambiguity bhi badi problems hain jo service ko disturb kar sakti hain.
Aage Kya Ho Sakta Hai?
Rapido Delhi mein toh zabardast chal raha hai, par future growth is baat par depend karegi ki woh competition aur drivers ke issues ko kaise handle karta hai.
