National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) ne ab high-speed corridors ke liye strict design rules laagu kar diye hain. Ab traffic density ke hisaab se road ki width aur structure fix hoga, jisse projects mein errors kam honge aur infrastructure developers ke liye kaam aasaan ho jayega.
Road design ka naya formula
NHAI ab project planning mein koi uncertainty nahi chahta. Naye guidelines ke hisaab se road ki capacity aur traffic ka seedha connection hoga. Agar traffic 15,000 vehicles tak hai, toh 4-lane highway aur 60-metre ki right-of-way hogi. Wahi agar traffic 15,000 se 25,000 ke beech hai, toh 4-lane road chalegi lekin structure 6-lane ka banana hoga aur right-of-way 70-metre chahiye. Heavy traffic routes (25,000 se 40,000 vehicles) ke liye seedha 6-lane highway aur 70-metre width mandatory kar di gayi hai.
Safety aur Connectivity par focus
Ab highways sirf tez nahi, balki safe bhi honge. NHAI ne 1-metre unchi boundary wall har outer edge par mandatory kar di hai, taaki animals ya unauthorised entry se accident ka khatra na rahe. Saath hi, ab exits aur entries ke liye advance information system aur major junctions par interchanges aur ramps hona zaroori hai. Iska maqsad highways ko ports, airports aur industrial zones se effectively connect karna hai.
