Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia ne announce kiya hai ki India ka ambition hai 2030 tak world ka leading logistics hub banna. Yeh baat unhone Saharanpur mein Postal Training Centre ke 75th anniversary par kahi. Is pure mission mein India Post ko main player banaya ja raha hai. Postal service ne FY27 tak apne revenue ko 18-20% badhane ka target rakha hai, jo FY26 ke estimated ₹13,000 crore se upar hoga. Yeh growth India ke bade economic goals, jaise merchandise exports ko $1 trillion aur overall economy ko $5 trillion tak pahunchane ke liye kaafi important hai. World Bank ke Logistics Performance Index (LPI) mein bhi India ka rank sudhar kar 38th ho gaya hai (pehle 44th tha). E-commerce ki badhti demand, infrastructure mein government ka investment aur GST ne trade ko streamline karne mein help ki hai. Blue Dart, Delhivery jaise bade private players bhi market mein zabardast tareeke se compete kar rahe hain, khaas kar last-mile delivery mein, jismein India ka road network 65% freight carry karta hai.

Lekin, itne bade goals ke beech India Post ke saamne kaafi challenges bhi hain. Department pehle se hi financial deficits se jujh raha hai, 2020 mein ₹15,500 crore se zyada ka loss hua tha. Pension liabilities aur fixed costs budget ka 95% consume kar lete hain, jis se modernization mushkil ho raha hai. Traditional mail services ki demand digital options aur private couriers ke aane se kam ho gayi hai. Parcel aur citizen services mein growth dikh rahi hai, par overall revenue growth modest hai; FY24-25 mein revenue lagbhag ₹13,240 crore tha, jabki sector ki annual growth 8-10% hai. India Post ke 4.8 lakh employees mein se kaafi ke paas limited technical skills hain, aur private companies automation aur AI use kar rahi hain, jahan India Post piche reh sakta hai.

Minister Scindia ne FY25-26 ke liye ₹17,546 crore ka revenue target set kiya hai, jo 30% ka bada jump hai. Aim hai ki agle 5 saal mein organization profitable ho jaye. Yeh target parcel aur logistics services ki growth par bahut depend karta hai, jo India ko global logistics powerhouse banane ke liye zaroori hain.
