Ministry of Road Transport and Highways ne saaf bol diya hai ki ab desh bhar ke sabhi toll plazas par 10 April se cash lena band. Yeh move India ko digital aur signal-free highways banane ki taraf ek bada kadam hai.
Cash Ko Kaho Bye Bye!
Ab cash mein payment bilkul nahi hogi. Zyadatar log toh FASTag use kar hi rahe hain, jo ki 95% se zyada transactions mein use ho raha hai. Lekin jo bache hain, unko ab FASTag ya UPI se hi payment karni hogi. Agar FASTag nahi hai, toh UPI se payment karne par normal rate se 1.25 guna zyada paise lagenge. Aur agar payment ki hi nahi, toh gaadi impound ho sakti hai aur double charge lagega 3 din baad.
Toll Operators Ki Mauj!
Is change se toll operators, jaise ki IRB Infrastructure Developers aur Ashoka Buildcon, ko kaafi fayda hoga. Cash handling kam hogi, errors kam honge, aur traffic bhi smooth chalega. IRB ki valuation lagbhag ₹45,000 crore hai aur uska P/E ratio 30x ke aas-paas hai. Ashoka Buildcon ka valuation ₹5,000 crore aur P/E 15x hai. Digital payments se inko revenue aur data dono improve karne mein help milegi.
Signal-Free Highways Ka Sapna
NHAI ka ultimate goal toh hai ki sabhi highways signal-free ho jayein. Iske liye 30-40% major routes par kaam chal raha hai aur 2025-26 tak yeh target achieve karne ki koshish hai. Cash khatam karna is direction mein ek important step hai jo drivers ko digital systems use karne par majboor karega.
Kuch Challenges Bhi Hain!
Par haan, kuch challenges bhi hain. Gaon mein rehne wale ya purane vehicles wale logon ko shayad FASTag ya UPI use karne mein dikkat ho. Chote businesses ke liye bhi yeh sab sudden change thoda mushkil ho sakta hai. UPI se payment karne mein bhi kabhi kabhi technical issues aa sakte hain.

Private cars ke liye saal ka pass hai ₹3,075 mein, jo 200 crossings tak ke liye valid hai. Purely digital platform par sabhi transactions lana logistics aur country ki transport efficiency ke liye bahut zaruri hai. Government aur invest kar rahi hai digital systems mein.
