Project Revival Confirmed
YEIDA (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) ke officials ne confirm kiya hai ki Ghaziabad ko Noida International Airport at Jewar se jodnewala critical rapid rail corridor, Greater Noida West ke through, officially track par wapas aa gaya hai. Last month thodi uncertainty ke baad, YEIDA officials ne bataya ki Ghaziabad route mein koi change nahi hoga. Ye important infrastructure project, jise UP government ne pehle hi approve kiya tha, ne alternative alignments ko explore kiya tha, par finally original plan hi final hua hai.
Corridor Details aur Cost
Ye confirmed alignment Detailed Project Report (DPR) ke according hi proceed karegi, jo National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) ne banayi hai. Is ambitious project ka estimated cost ₹20,360 crore hai aur ise five years mein complete karne ka target hai. Corridor mein 22 stations honge, jisme rapid rail aur metro services ka mix hoga, aur ye mostly elevated rahega. Ye Ghaziabad RRTS station se start hoga jo Delhi-Meerut corridor par hai, aur Siddharth Vihar, Greater Noida West, Knowledge Park 5, Surajpur, aur Alpha-1 jaise important areas se pass hokar Noida International Airport tak jayega.
Integration aur Pichhle Hurdles
DPR ka ek major part hai Noida Sector 51 se Knowledge Park 5 tak proposed Aqua Line extension ke around 10 km ko, jismein six stations bhi hain, new RRTS corridor mein absorb karna. Char Murti Chowk par ek integrated station plan kiya gaya hai. Jabki is project ko Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) se direct Delhi connectivity aur ridership projections ko lekar objections aaye the, YEIDA ne clarifications de diye hain. Authority ne emphasize kiya hai ki corridor ko seamless multimodal integration ke liye design kiya gaya hai, other existing aur planned transport networks ke sath.
Broader NCR Connectivity
Ghaziabad-Jewar link ke alawa, YEIDA Faridabad ke through Gurgaon ke IFFCO Chowk se Surajpur tak ek separate 60-km corridor bhi plan kar rahi hai. Is initiative ka aim National Capital Region mein overall rapid transit connectivity ko enhance karna hai. Officials ko belief hai ki ye corridors, milkar kaam karke, new airport tak travel time ko significantly reduce karenge aur traffic congestion ko kam karenge, jisse region ki planned urban aur industrial growth ko support milega. Broader Namo Bharat initiative, jisme ye corridor aata hai, ka aim NCR ki multiple cities ko high-speed rail se jodna hai, greener transportation ko promote karna aur vehicle emissions ko reduce karna hai.
