Delhi Metro ka Naya Plan: 97 Km Aur 65 Stations!
CM Rekha Gupta ne announce kiya hai Delhi Metro Phase V(b) ka plan, jismein 97 kilometers tak naya track bichhega aur 65 stations banenge. Yeh seven new corridors par hoga aur sab milakar lagbhag ₹48,204.56 crore kharche jayenge. Isse Delhi ke outer areas tak connectivity badhegi aur travel time kam hoga.
DMRC Par Udhaar Aur Loss Ka Sawaal!
Dekhne mein toh yeh plan bada achha lag raha hai, par DMRC ki financial health thodi shaky hai. March 2025 tak, DMRC ka revenue ₹8,150 crore tha. Lekin company pehle se hi kaafi debt (udhaar) mein dabi hui hai aur pichhle kuch saalon mein loss bhi hua hai. JICA jaise organizations se liye gaye loans ki repayment bhi chal rahi hai. Delhi sarkar ne FY27 ke liye ₹2,885 crore allocate kiye hain metro expansion ke liye, par yeh sab future ke liye sufficient hai ya nahi, yeh badi chinta ki baat hai.
2029 Tak Kuch Corridors Ready Ho Jayenge!
Is plan mein se four priority corridors ko 2029 tak complete karne ka target hai. Isse Najafgarh, Narela, aur Mithapur jaise areas mein development aur business ko boost milega. Lekin India mein metro track banane ka average kharcha ₹250-300 crore per km (elevated) se lekar ₹500-600 crore per km (underground) tak jaata hai, aur yeh sab DMRC ke existing financial burden ko aur badha sakta hai.
Piche Ke Projects Mein Bhi Dekha Tha Delay Aur Cost Badhna!
History dekhi jaaye toh Delhi Metro ke hi Phase IV projects mein 3 saal tak ka delay hua tha aur cost bhi initial estimate se 15% tak badh gayi thi. Phase V(b) mein bhi underground work aur land acquisition mein problems aa sakti hain, jisse cost aur badh sakti hai. DMRC ne pichhle saal August 2025 mein fare bhi 7% badhaya tha, jo unki financial difficulties dikhata hai. Isliye, yeh 2029 ka target achieve karna kaafi challenging ho sakta hai.

Yeh expansion Delhi ki mobility ko sudharega aur development ko boost dega. Lekin DMRC ko project par strict oversight rakhna hoga aur financial management ko better karna hoga taaki public money waste na ho aur company pe zyada bojh na pade.
