Delhi EV Policy Naya Plan: Ab Manufacturers Banayenge 7,000 Charging Stations! Kya Hoga Aage?
Overview

Arre bhaiyon aur behno, suno! Delhi Govt ne apni EV policy ko update kar diya hai aur yeh March ke end tak aa jayegi. Is baar kaafi bada change hai - vehicle makers ko khud 7,000 naye charging points lagwane padenge! Purani cars scrap karne par ₹1 lakh tak ka bonus bhi milega. Lekin haan, thode hurdles bhi hain, jaise grid par load aur private companies par dependence.

Nayi Policy: Ab Manufacturers ko Lagwane Honge Chargers!

Toh hua yun ki Delhi government ne apni Electric Vehicle (EV) policy ko revise kar liya hai, jo March 2026 ke end tak aa jayegi. Is policy ka sabse bada point ye hai ki ab vehicle manufacturers aur unke vendors (kareeb 400 log) ko milkar EV charging infrastructure build karna padega. Target hai city mein 7,000 naye charging stations add karna, jisse existing 8,849 stations ka network aur badh jayega. Yeh pura kaam Delhi Transco Limited dekh raha hai, jinka kaam hai charging aur battery swapping infrastructure plan karna. Bus depots mein bhi jagah dekhi ja rahi hai DTC ki saari buses ko electric banane ke liye.

Private Makers par Dependence aur Grid Tension

Par yahan thodi dikkat bhi hai. Jab charging stations banane ka zimma private manufacturers par dal rahe hain, toh thoda mushkil ho sakta hai. Ho sakta hai unka focus govt ke targets se match na kare, jisse kaam ruk sakta hai ya stations sahi jagah na lag payen. Poore India mein charging infrastructure banane mein land lene, permissions lene aur paiso ki viability ke issues aate hain. Kai stations toh use bhi nahi ho rahe ya band pade hain.

Delhi ka plan 7,000 points add karne ka hai, par isse bijli ke grid par bhi bohot load padne ka risk hai, khas kar commercial vehicles ke liye chahiye high-power fast chargers se. Trucks jaise commercial fleets ke liye alag specs aur zyada power lagti hai. India mein bade infrastructure projects aksar delays aur cost overruns se ghire rehte hain. Delhi mein charging stations badh toh rahe hain, par abhi bhi demand se kam hain.

Trucks ko Electric Banana, Naya Challenge

Policy mein commercial transport ka bhi dhyan rakha gaya hai, 1,100 medium-sized EV trucks lane ki planning hai. Isse charging infrastructure ki demand aur badhegi. Transport associations ka kehna hai ki electric three-wheelers toh short trips ke liye theek hain, par heavy EV trucks ke liye, jo abhi CNG se chalte hain, unhe dedicated charging support chahiye. Tata Motors bhi electric trucks aur unke liye charging network develop kar raha hai. Lekin commercial EVs ke liye, especially Delhi jaise cities mein, widely available charging abhi bhi ek bada hurdle hai.

Scrapping Bonus aur Tax Waivers wapas

Is policy mein paiso wale incentives bhi wapas aa gaye hain. Purani Delhi-registered cars (BS-IV aur older) ko scrap karke new electric car kharidne par ₹1 lakh tak ka bonus milega. Yeh offer pehle 100,000 applicants ke liye hai. Electric vehicles par road tax aur registration fees se full waiver March 2030 tak milega, ₹30 lakh tak ki cars ke liye. Yeh incentives pehle EV sales badhane mein helpful rahe hain, par kya yeh trucks jaise expensive vehicles adoption speed up kar paayenge ya infrastructure gaps ko bhar paayenge, yeh dekhna hoga.

Market Badhega, Delhi ka Plan Unique

India ka EV market bohot tezi se badhne wala hai, 2029 tak yeh USD 110 billion ko cross kar sakta hai, national goals aur investment ki wajah se. Iske liye manufacturing, supply chains aur charging infrastructure mein USD 100 billion se zyada ka investment chahiye next decade mein. States jaise Karnataka aur Maharashtra ne toh apne charging networks aur policies achhi banayi hain, par Delhi ka yeh strategy ki manufacturers khud charging stations banayen, yeh unique hai. Success is baat par depend karegi ki manufacturers kitne active rehte hain aur infrastructure problems ko solve karte hain, jo pehle bhi EV adoption ko slow karte aaye hain.
