Aise kaise chala itna bada cargo?
Ab yeh ₹132.51 crore ka jo Road Over Bridge (ROB) project approve hua hai na Kandla mein DPA ke liye, yeh port infra ko upgrade karne ka ek step hai. Isse LC-235 level crossing par traffic kam hoga aur cargo ki movement bhi tez hogi. Yeh sab Sagarmala Programme aur PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan ka hissa hai. Par asli baat yeh hai ki DPA abhi operational performance mein bhi top pe hai. FY25-26 mein inhone record 160.11 MMT cargo handle kiya hai, aur yeh India ka sabse tez growth karne wala major port ban gaya hai. Yeh success unke liquid, dry bulk, aur container cargo mein growth, storage, logistics, aur digital systems mein ki gayi improvements ki wajah se hai.
Bade plans, Par hurdles bhi?
Dekho, yeh ROB project toh Sagarmala Programme ka ek chhota sa hissa hai, jismein desh bhar mein ₹5.79 lakh crore ke lagbhag 839 projects chal rahe hain. PM Gati Shakti Plan bhi infrastructure ko integrate karne ke liye hai. Lekin sachai yeh hai ki Sagarmala ke bahut saare important port connectivity projects mein land acquisition, alag-alag government bodies ke beech coordination ki kami, aur tough environmental approvals ke wajah se kaafi delays ho rahe hain. Western Railway jo yeh ROB manage karega, uska yeh project, Sagarmala aur Gati Shakti ke tezi se na chalne wale bade projects ke muqable kafi modest hai.
DPA ka khud ka expansion toh rokela nahi!
Jabki desh ke doosre bade ports aur private players jaise Adani Ports bhi apna network badha rahe hain, Deendayal Port ki performance alag hi level par hai. Aur unke future plans toh aur bhi bade hain! DPA ₹57,000 crore ka ek naya smart port aur shipbuilding cluster banane ki planning kar raha hai, jisse 135 MMTPA capacity aur jud jayegi. Iss level ke mega-projects ke saamne yeh ₹132.51 crore ka ROB ek chhota sa adjustment lagta hai, na ki koi strategic shift.
Execution risks aur limited impact?
Is ROB project mein execution risks bhi hain, jaise delays aur budget increase. Western Railway sambhalega, par India mein bade infrastructure projects mein yeh sab aam baat hai. ₹132.51 crore ka budget apne aap mein bada hai, par DPA ke hazaaron crore ke mega-projects ke saamne toh yeh kuch bhi nahi. DPA ka current success uske internal operational improvements, upgraded infrastructure aur digital systems ki wajah se hai, na ki sirf ek civil engineering work se. Agar Sagarmala ke bade projects aise hi late hote rahe, toh is ROB ka overall port congestion par impact bhi shayad limited hi rahega.
India ke maritime future mein DPA ka role
Government ka ultimate goal toh India ke logistics costs ko 13-14% GDP se kam kar ke 8% tak lana hai aur trade ko boost karna hai. Sagarmala 2.0 aur Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047 jaise plans isi direction mein hain. DPA ke ambitious expansion plans, jaise naya satellite port aur deep-draft berths, is vision ka ek important hissa hain. Yeh ROB project ek specific problem ko address karta hai, par iski asli value tabhi pata chalegi jab yeh timely complete ho aur DPA ke overall transformation aur desh ke logistics development ke saath properly integrate ho.
