Ayo, toh hua kya hai na, India mein apna desi tourism ekdum mast chal raha hai! Government keh rahi hai paisa bachao, toh log apne hi desh mein ghoomne ja rahe hain. Domestic visits toh badh rahi hain, lagbhag 9,500 million tak pahunch jayengi 2030 tak. Last year yaani 2025 mein hi 54% badhotri dekhne ko mili hai, 4,548 million log ghoomne gaye hain desh ke andar. Sab budget-friendly travel ki wajah se ho raha hai aur Indians ka bahar jaana bhi thoda slow ho gaya hai. Plus, videshi tourists bhi abhi pandemic se pehle jitne nahi aa rahe.

Par yahan ek bada twist hai! Jab se apne log andar ghoom rahe hain, foreign exchange reserves par pressure aa raha hai. India se bahar jaane wale log aur India mein aane wale foreigners ka ratio kharab ho gaya hai. Reports kehti hain ki 2024 mein lagbhag 3 Indians bahar gaye toh 1 foreigner hi India aaya. Government chahti hai ki log paisa bachayein aur bahar na jayein, par apne desh mein videshiyon ka aana abhi bhi pandemic se kam hai. 2025 mein sirf 9.02 million foreign tourists aaye, jo 2019 ke 10.93 million se kaafi kam hai. Yeh toh foreign exchange kamane ka mauka kho rahe hain, jabki Thailand ( 35 million arrivals) aur Malaysia ( 25 million) jaise countries bahut aage nikal gaye hain.

Aur jo MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) wala sector hai na, woh toh aur bhi mushkil mein hai. Ye sector bahut paisa kamata hai aur company ke corporate spending par depend karta hai. Jab companies keh rahi hain ki unnecessary travel band karo aur virtual meetings pe jao, toh MICE events kam ho sakte hain. Hotel aur convention centers ke liye yeh bahut bada risk hai, kyunki MICE travelers zyada kharch karte hain leisure tourists se. Is sector mein kami matlab overall economy par bhi impact padega.

Haan, hotel industry toh abhi bhi mast chal rahi hai, revenue 6-8% badhne ka estimate hai FY2026 mein aur 7-9% FY2027 mein. Premium hotels mein occupancy 72-74% rahegi aur room rates ₹8,200-8,500 tak pahunch jayenge. Yeh sab domestic demand aur supply kam hone ki wajah se hai. Vese, international travel expensive hone, rupee weak hone aur global uncertainty ki wajah se Indians abroad kam ja rahe hain, jo domestic tourism ke liye achha hai. Government bhi 'Incredible India' campaign ko naya look de rahi hai 2026-30 ke liye taki videshiyon ko attract kar sake. Par asli challenge yeh hai ki domestic travel ko badhava dene ke saath-saath inbound tourism ko kaise sambhalein aur MICE sector ko kaise support karein, taki forex earning bhi ho.

Dekhte hain, yeh balancing act India tourism kaise karta hai!
