India Ka Naya Plan: ₹1/GB Data Tax Aayega? Hungama Shuru!
Overview

Bro, India mein government mobile data par ek naya tax lagane ka soch rahi hai. Ye ₹1 per GB ho sakta hai. Isse revenue badhane aur digital addiction control karne ki baat ho rahi hai, but sab log iske khilaaf ho gaye hain.

Suno, asli baat ye hai ki Department of Telecommunications (DoT) ek report bana rahi hai September 2026 tak ke liye. Ye plan hai ki mobile data use par ₹1 per GB ka tax lagaya jaye. Govt ko isse ₹22,900 crore saal ka revenue mil sakta hai, unke hisaab se FY25 mein 229 billion GB data use hua hai. Aur ye addiction ko control karne mein bhi help karega.

Par yeh plan kaafi controversial hai. Log bol rahe hain ki pehle se hi mobile recharges par 18% GST lag raha hai, toh ye toh double taxation ho jayega! Aur government toh India ko cloud aur AI ka hub banane mein lagi hai, jiske liye foreign companies ko tax breaks de rahe hain 2047 tak, taaki $200 billion invest karein. Ek taraf data sasta karna hai, doosri taraf tax lagana hai? Ye toh khud se hi ladai ho gayi.

Expert bol rahe hain ki ye legal bhi nahi hai shayad. Agar kuch logon ko addiction se bachana hai toh uske liye alag rules banaye ja sakte hain, jaise ki Information Technology Act mein hai. Ye broad tax sab par lagana sahi nahi lagta. Telecom companies bhi already pressure mein hain, unko toh tax relief chahiye, jaise COAI (Cellular Operators Association of India) bol rahe hain. Aur yeh naya tax unki mushkil aur badha sakta hai.

Industry wale bol rahe hain ki GST aur spectrum fees kam karo, revenue badhane ke liye. Ye ₹1/GB wala tax shayad kaam bhi na kare aur policy mein confusion paida kar de. Final decision DoT ki report ke baad hi hoga, jo September 2026 mein aayegi. Dekhte hain India ka digital future kaisa banta hai, revenue aur affordable data ke beech.
