Mission Drishti: Earth Observation Ka Naya Star!

GalaxEye ka Mission Drishti satellite 3 May 2026 ko successfully launch hua, jo India ke private space industry ke liye ek badi technological leap hai. Yeh duniya ka pehla operational OptoSAR (Optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite hai. Ye 190 kg ka satellite India ka sabse bada privately built Earth observation craft hai. Simple bhasha mein, yeh optical aur SAR sensors ko ek saath use karta hai.

Optical aur Radar ka Kamaal Combo!

Abhi tak satellites ya toh optical sensor se image lete the (jo baarish ya andhere mein kaam nahi karte) ya phir radar se (jo all-weather hai par clarity thodi kam ho sakti hai). Drishti dono ki khamiyon ko door karta hai! Iska OptoSAR system optical aur radar data ko simultaneously capture karta hai, jisse clouds ho ya raat, information clear milti hai. Iski spatial resolution 1.2 se 3.6 meter tak hai, jo defense, maritime surveillance, disaster response, agriculture, aur infrastructure planning jaise kaam ke liye super useful hai. Plus, ismein AI-on-the-edge processing hai for faster data analysis.

India Ka Space Economy aur GalaxEye Ka Funding

Ye launch India ki tezi se badhti space economy ka hissa hai, jo ab $8.4 billion ki hai aur 2033 tak $44 billion tak pahunchne ka target hai. India mein 400+ space startups hain jinmein pichle paanch saalon mein $600 million se zyada ka investment aa chuka hai. GalaxEye ne khud $18.8 million fund raise kiya hai, jismein March 2026 mein $4.8 million ka Series A extension bhi shamil hai.

Competition Aur Future Plans

Global players jaise Maxar Technologies, Planet Labs, ICEYE, aur Capella Space se competition tough hai. Lekin GalaxEye ka OptoSAR tech unique hai. Unka plan hai 2030 tak 10 satellites ka ek constellation launch karne ka. Ye Drishti ka success India ke private space sector ki maturity aur innovation ko dikhata hai!
