Toh Coinbase ki report kehti hai ki quantum computing ka threat real hai aur crypto world ko iske liye taiyar rehna hoga. Ek independent advisory board ne bola hai ki current encryption jo Bitcoin, Ethereum jaise coins use karte hain, woh quantum computers ke saamne fail ho sakti hai. Time kam hai aur ye shift bahut complicated aur costly hone wala hai.
Coinbase khud iss issue ko seriously le raha hai. Abhi ke quantum computers shayad itne strong na hon, par tech tezi se badh rahi hai. U.S. ki NIST institution ne 2030 tak RSA-2048 aur ECC-256 jaise algorithms ko phase out karne ka plan banaya hai, aur 2035 tak totally ban kar denge. Solution Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) hai, jaise NIST ne ML-KEM aur ML-DSA propose kiye hain. Lekin ye sirf ek simple update nahi hai. Report kehti hai ki PQC ke baad digital signatures current se 38 times tak bade ho sakte hain! Isse transaction fees badh jayegi aur network bhi slow ho jayega. Lakhon user wallets ko migrate karna bhi ek bada challenge hai, especially jo inactive hain. Ye pura quantum tech market 2035-2040 tak $97 billion se $173 billion tak pahunch sakta hai.
Centralized companies toh apne aap upgrade kar sakti hain, par decentralized blockchains jaise Bitcoin mein ye bahut mushkil hai. Yahan koi single authority nahi hai jo sabko force kar sake. Users ko khud move karna padega, jo slow process hai. Isse 'harvest now, decrypt later' attacks ka risk badh jata hai – matlab scammer aaj data collect karke baad mein quantum computers se decrypt kar sakte hain. Jin wallets ne public keys share kar di hain, woh zyada vulnerable hain. Dormant funds ko manage karna aur sabko safe migrate karna complex hai.
Halanki ye quantum threat hai, analysts abhi bhi Coinbase ko lekar positive hain. Average price target $255 se $300 ke beech hai. Lekin Barclays jaisa analyst thoda cautious hai, $180 ka target diya hai. Ye PQC upgrade ek long-term, costly project hai jo shayad abhi stock prices mein fully reflect na ho. Jo companies isme pehle invest karengi, woh competitors se aage niklenge. Late karne se data breach ka risk badh sakta hai.
