IIT Madras Fund: India Ki Tech Sovereignty Ke Liye ₹1000 Cr Ka Dhamaka!
Overview

Bhai log, ek mast khabar suno! IIT Madras Research Park aur Unicorn India Ventures ne milkar ek tagda ₹600 Crore ka deep tech fund launch kiya hai, jo ₹1000 Crore tak ja sakta hai. Yeh fund India ko tech mein aatmanirbhar banane ke liye hai, khaas kar spacetech, semiconductors aur defence jaise sectors mein.

India Banega Tech Mein Superpower!

IIT Madras Research Park (IITMRP) aur Unicorn India Ventures ne haath milakar yeh naya fund nikala hai, jiska initial corpus ₹600 Crore hai. Par rukko, agar sab plans work out hue toh yeh ₹1000 Crore tak pahunch sakta hai ek 'greenshoe option' ke saath. Iska main goal hai ki India ki technology sovereignty strong ho, matlab humein bahar ke tech par kam nirbhar rehna pade. Fund ka nishana hai kam se kam 25 aisi companies jinmein strong IP (Intellectual Property) aur deep engineering ho.

Konsi Sectors Ko Milega Support?

Yeh fund robotics, spacetech, defence tech, semiconductors, aur medtech jaise critical aur high-tech fields mein kaam karne wali startups ko support karega. Aim hai ki research se lekar market tak ka safar easy ho sake. Fund ki strategy do-stage wali hai, jisse deep tech ke lambe development cycles ko manage kiya ja sake. Start mein, companies jo TRL 3-4 par hain, unhein ₹8-10 Crore tak milenge taaki woh initial commercialization hurdles paar kar sakein. Phir TRL 5-7 waali companies ko aage badhaya jayega, aur TRL 7-9 waali late-stage ventures ko market mein explode karne ke liye support milega.

'Patient Capital' Ka Magic!

Fund ka 60% hissa initial investments ke liye hai aur 40% follow-on rounds ke liye. Yeh jo 'patient capital' wala concept hai, yeh deep tech ke liye bahut zaroori hai kyuki ismein hardware aur R&D mein time lagta hai. Unicorn India Ventures, jiske paas pehle se 30 ke kareeb deep tech companies ka portfolio hai, woh is fund ko manage karega. IIT Madras ke Director Dr. Kamakoti Veezhinathan ne bhi iss initiative ko 'Viksit Bharat 2047' aur technology sovereignty achieve karne ke liye bahut important bataya hai.
