Bhai log, India ke home services sector mein paisa toh bahut aa raha hai! Snabbit, Pronto jaise companies ne millions of dollars fund raise kar liye hain, aur valuations bhi sky-high ho gaye hain. Lekin asli sawaal ye hai ki kya ye hype ke peeche companies profits bana paayengi ya sirf losses badhte rahenge?

Investors Ka Bharosa Ya Sirf Hype?

Dekho, India mein instant home services market ab seedha $60 billion tak pahunch gaya hai, aur 2030 tak yeh $100 billion tak jaane ka forecast hai. Online segment bhi saalana 18-22% ki speed se badh raha hai aur $1 billion cross karne wala hai. Yeh sab India ke 8 bade cities mein ho raha hai, jahan 90% tak demand hai.

Funding Rounds Aur Valuations Ka Toofaan

Naye startups toh kamaal kar rahe hain. Snabbit, jo 2024 mein start hui, ne ab tak $56 million se zyada fund raise kar liya hai. Pichle October mein, Bertelsmann India Investments ne $30 million lead kiye the, jisne company ka valuation $172 million kar diya tha. Ab yeh log $60-70 million aur raise karne ki baat kar rahe hain, valuation $350-400 million par.

Pronto, sirf 9 mahine purani company, ne March 2026 mein $25 million ki Series B round finish ki, jisme valuation $100 million ho gaya. Ye toh pehle wale valuation se double hai, jo sirf 7 mahine pehle $45 million tha!

Market leader Urban Company bhi apne InstaHelp vertical mein dher sara paisa laga raha hai, jo ab roz 50,000 bookings cross kar chuka hai.

Loss Ka Chakraavyuh

Par bhai, itna paisa aane ke baad bhi, profitability ek bada puzzle hai. Urban Company ka InstaHelp hi dekh lo, Q3 FY26 mein iska adjusted EBITDA loss ₹61 crore tha. Poori company ka consolidated net loss is quarter mein ₹21.26 crore tha. Urban Company ke CEO ko lagta hai ki baaki businesses ke profit se InstaHelp ka loss Q3 FY28 tak compensate hoga.

New entrants ke liye, break-even tak pahunchna bahut mushkil hai. Unhe kam se kam 60% utilization aur har micro-market mein lagbhag 1,500 jobs chahiye. Kuch mature markets mein stability dikh rahi hai, par overall low-value jobs ko profitable banana ek challenge hai.

Future Kya Kehta Hai?

Competition bahut bhari hai. Snabbit, Pronto, Urban Company sab lad rahe hain. Is wajah se customer acquisition cost badh raha hai. Sabse bada challenge hai users ko 'convenience' ke liye use karne wale service ko 'habit' banana. Abhi bhi online home services ka penetration 1% se kam hai, matlab scope bahut hai, par habit banane mein time lagega.

Ek aur risk hai - disintermediation. Matlab, log platform se service lene ke baad seedha service provider se deal karna shuru kar dete hain, jisse platform ko kuch nahi milta.

Ultimately, is sector ka future depend karta hai disciplined growth par, achhe staff management par, aur sabse zaroori, users ko isse regular habit banane par. Convenience aur speed ka demand toh hai, par isse consistent aur profitable service delivery mein badalna hi asal test hai.
