So, reason kya hai is bade move ka? India mein na, investors ki sankhya ekdum se badh gayi hai! Agar June 2025 tak dekho toh 13 crore unique investors ho gaye hain, jo March 2020 ke 4.2 crore se lagbhag triple hai. Aur mazedaar baat ye hai ki inmein se lagbhag 40% log jo 30 saal se kam umar ke hain, mostly National Stock Exchange par active hain. Plus, Tier-2 aur Tier-3 cities se bhi log entry maar rahe hain. Yeh domestic investors toh bhai, April 2019 se June 2025 ke beech ₹18 lakh crores dal chuke hain! Ab yeh sab digitally ho raha hai, jahan 80% equity investors aur 35% mutual fund investors digital platforms se hi account khol rahe hain.

Is sabko manage karne ke liye, SEBI ne tech mein jabardast paisa lagana shuru kar diya hai. Woh advanced analytics aur AI use kar rahe hain market ko monitor karne ke liye. Imagine karo, AI se fraud jaise ki front-running ya insider trading ko pakadna easy ho jayega. SEBI ne ek 'data lake' bhi banaya hai aur private cloud infra set up kiya hai jahan roz 550 crore se zyada order aur trade messages ka data store hota hai. Teen naye IT platforms bhi launch kiye hain taaki regulations strong hon, cybersecurity better ho aur business karna asaan ho.

Sirf tech hi nahi, SEBI apni internal governance bhi tight kar raha hai. Ek committee ki recommendation par, leaders ke liye conflict of interest rules ko strict kar diya gaya hai. Ab SEBI ke Chairman aur members ko apna personal stock holding sell ya freeze karna padega jab woh join karte hain (mutual funds ko chhod kar). Yeh sab global trends ko follow karte hue kiya ja raha hai, jaise EU mein ESMA bhi aise hi checks kar raha hai.

Ye jo retail investors ka boom hai na, yeh global trend hai. Lekin iske saath kuch challenges bhi aate hain. Jaise, companies ki governance mein retail investors ka participation abhi bhi low hai, sirf 20% voting hoti hai. Aur aajkal ke young investors, jo market ke sirf upar jaane wala phase dekh kar aaye hain, woh Derivatives jaise risky products mein interest dikha rahe hain. Plus, yeh 'finfluencers' ka role bhi hai. Isi liye regulators, jaise US mein SEC aur UK mein FCA bhi, conflict of interest aur consumer protection par focus kar rahe hain.

SEBI ka yeh vision hai ki ek stable, transparent aur investor-friendly market banaya jaaye. Technology aur better governance ke through woh yeh sab achieve karna chahte hain. Challenges toh hain, jaise fast changing tech, cybersecurity risks, aur market volatility, par SEBI in sabko address karne ki koshish kar raha hai taaki India ka financial market secure aur sustainable bane.
