Principal Scientific Advisor Ajay Sood ne bhi confirm kiya hai ki solar power se bani green hydrogen ko special burners mein use karne ka idea hai. Yeh sab National Green Hydrogen Mission ka bada plan hai, jisme ₹19,744 Crore ka budget hai 2030 tak 5 million metric tonnes hydrogen banane ka target hai. Isse 125 GW renewable energy capacity bhi banegi. Goal hai 2030 tak 500 GW non-fossil electricity aur 2070 tak net-zero emissions achieve karna. West Asia mein jo tensions chal rahi hain, usne LPG supply chain ke risks dikha diye hain, isliye local energy sources ab priority ban gaye hain.
Abhi toh yeh sab research aur pilot projects tak hi seemit hai. India mein Greenvize jaise startups ne hydrogen cooking systems banaye hain, but woh abhi bade restaurants ya commercial kitchens ke liye hain. Kyunki bhai, ek unit ka price hi ₹1.5 lakh hai! Aam Indian family ke liye yeh price ekdum out of reach hai.
Phir aata hai production ka kharcha. India mein green hydrogen bananane ka cost hai $4-$6 per kilogram, jo conventional hydrogen ($1.5-$2.3/kg) se bahut zyada hai. Target price $2/kg se kam hai tabhi yeh compete kar payegi. Solar aur wind power sasta ho raha hai, but consumers ke liye price abhi bhi bahut high hai. Yaad hai na PMUY ke time LPG refill ka cost kaise problem bana tha? Affordability hamesha king hai. Safety ki bhi worries hain, jaise NOx pollution aur methane se fast leakage rate, jiska study abhi zaruri hai.
Desh bhar mein hydrogen banane, store karne aur distribute karne ka infrastructure toh abhi shuru hi ho raha hai. LPG ka network toh saalon se bana hua hai. Global level par bhi, heating aur cooking fuel ke liye hydrogen ka future uncertain lag raha hai; energy efficiency aur heat pumps zyada practical lag rahe hain. India chahta hai green hydrogen mein global leader bane, but current cost ($3.5-$5/kg) target (under $2/kg) se bahut upar hai.
Badi company NTPC Limited bhi green hydrogen burners par kaam kar rahi hai aur cooking demos bhi kiye hain. NTPC ka P/E ratio (TTM) around 15.14 tha aur market cap ₹3.8 trillion tha. NTPC ka involvement dikhata hai ki plan serious hai, but gharon ke liye itna bada investment aur infrastructure abhi unknown hai. India ne pehle bhi clean cooking initiatives (jaise LPG promotion) mein dekha hai ki sirf access dena kaafi nahi hai; log cost ki wajah se use karna band kar dete hain.
Toh overall, India ka green hydrogen for cooking ka plan future-oriented hai, National Green Hydrogen Mission ke saath. Country global leader banna chahti hai, policy support bhi hai aur investment bhi aa raha hai. Lekin millions of Indian kitchens tak yeh pahunchane ke liye bade technological, economic, aur infrastructure challenges ko paar karna hoga. Abhi research aur pilot projects chal rahe hain, matlab innovation zaruri hai, par yeh ek lambi race hai. Success tabhi milegi jab cost kam hoga, appliances affordable honge, aur safety aur distribution system strong banega.
