High FD Rates Ka Khel Kya Hai?

Sabse pehle toh ye samajhte hain ki ye SFBs itna high interest kyun de rahe hain. Dekho, badi banks jahan 6.25% se 7.10% ke aas paas deti hain, wahi Suryoday Small Finance Bank toh 30 mahine ki FD par seedha 8.10% de raha hai! ESAF Small Finance Bank bhi 501 din ki FD par 8.00% offer kar raha hai. Ye sab kyu ho raha hai?

Asal mein, SFBs ko apna deposit base badhana hota hai taaki woh zyada loans de sakein. Ye loan zyada tar MSMEs aur microfinance sector ko jate hain, jahan interest rate 16% se 24% tak hota hai. Is funding gap ko bharne ke liye, SFBs humein normal banks se 50 to 250 basis points zyada interest offer karte hain. Agar dusre options dekhein toh Government Securities (G-Secs) 7-7.5% tak aur corporate bonds 5-7% tak mil rahe hain. SFBs ka offer filhaal in sabse attractive lag raha hai.

Market Ka Current Scene Aur SFBs Ki Strategy

Abhi Reserve Bank of India (RBI) ka repo rate 5.25% par stable hai. Lekin SFBs mein deposit ke liye zabardast competition chal raha hai. Unka deposit growth loan growth se bhi aage nikal gaya hai, par ye thoda mehnga ho raha hai kyuki bulk deposits ki wajah se cost badh rahi hai.

Upar se, 10-year G-Sec yields bhi 7.04% ke aas paas pahunch gaye hain. Inflation filhaal 3.21% par low hai, par geopolitical tensions ki wajah se iske badhne ka risk hai. Isliye RBI bhi cautious hai.

Risk Factor Ko Mat Bhoolo!

Sabse important baat - jab bhi koi bank high returns offer karta hai, toh risk bhi hota hai. Haan, ₹5 lakh tak ka deposit toh DICGC insurance mein covered hai, jo ki ek acchi baat hai. Lekin SFBs ka business model thoda alag hota hai. Ye jahan paisa lagate hain (MSME, microfinance) woh thoda zyada risky ho sakta hai, matlab credit risk ka chance zyada hai.

Badi banks ke comparison mein inke paas capital bhi kam hota hai. Agar economy mein koi gadbad hui toh liquidity issue ka saamna karna pad sakta hai. Halanki, ab ye log secured lending ki taraf bhi badh rahe hain, jo ki risk kam karne ka accha sign hai.

Investors Ke Liye Kya Hai?

Aage chal kar jab tak RBI repo rate stable rakhega aur competition bana rahega, tab tak SFBs high FD rates offer karte rahenge. Agar aapko zyada interest chahiye toh SFBs ek option ho sakte hain. Lekin ek hi bank mein apna saara paisa mat daalo. Apna investment alag-alag banks mein ₹5 lakh ki insurance limit ke andar spread kar lo. Apne risk appetite ko dekho aur sirf FD nahi, dusre fixed-income options bhi explore karo.
