Confusion Kyun Thi? Legal Bhasha Ka Chakkar!

Log thode pareshan ho rahe the ki naye Income-tax Act, 2025 mein FD aur RD par TDS ka rate badh jayega. Ye sab confusion isliye thi kyunki kuch legal sections aur definitions change hui hain. Jaise, TDS on interest Section 194A se naye law ke Section 393(1) mein shift ho gaya hai.

Good News: Rates Aur Thresholds Wahi Hain!

Par Income Tax Department ne clear kar diya hai ki ye changes sirf legal wording ke hain, tumhare tax par koi asar nahi padega. Banks ab bhi interest par 10% TDS kaatengi agar woh prescribed threshold se zyada ho. Agar tumhara PAN card nahi hai toh 20% TDS lagega.

Kitne Amount Pe TDS Katata Hai?

  • Individuals ke liye threshold hai ₹50,000 per year.
  • Senior citizens ke liye yeh limit hai ₹1 lakh per year.

Savings account ke interest par koi TDS nahi katta, haan woh ₹10,000 se upar taxable zarur hai Section 80TTA ke under.

Form 15G/15H Ka Kya?

Agar tumhari income taxable limit se kam hai, toh tum apne bank mein Form 15G (agar 60 saal se kam ho) ya Form 15H (agar 60 saal se upar ho) submit karke TDS rukwa sakte ho. Toh chill karo, savers ke liye relief hai!
