JioStar Ne Khel Khatam Kiya!
JioStar, jo Reliance Industries aur The Walt Disney Company ka bada joint venture hai, ne Bangladesh mein IPL aur WPL dono ke broadcast rights ko local partner TSports ke saath cancel kar diya hai. Ye 17th February 2026 ko official letters bhej kar confirm kiya gaya. Asal problem ye hai ki TSports bar-bar payment time par karne mein fail ho raha tha. Ab is deal ke cancel hone se, Bangladesh mein iss saal ke IPL season ka koi official local broadcast nahi hoga, chahe wahan pehle IPL telecast par laga ban hataya bhi jaye.
Political Tension Aur Partner Ki Galti?
Ye jo deal achanak cancel hui hai, woh India aur Bangladesh ke beech chal rahe thode kharab political relations ke baad hui hai. August 2024 mein Dhaka mein sarkaar badalne ke baad bhi, cricket ke desh mein itne craze hone ke bawajood, finance aur politics ke risks ab zyada nazar aa rahe hain. TSports ka payment mein consistently fail hona JioStar ke liye impossible situation ban gaya tha. Country ki overall economy ki situation bhi theek nahi hai, especially banking sector pe kaafi pressure chal raha hai. September 2025 tak bad loans 36% tak pahunch gaye the aur banks ka capital levels bhi required amount se neeche aa gaye the. Ye instability local partners ko payment karne mein aur mushkil create kar rahi hai.
JioStar Ka Strategy: Stability First!
JioStar ka ye decision un markets mein risk manage karne ka ek planned strategy dikhata hai jahan politics aur economy mein instability kaafi rehti hai. Halanki JioStar India mein sports rights buy karne mein ek major player hai, Bangladesh ka case alag tha. Reports ke mutabik, JioStar khud bhi ICC media rights deal ke bade pressure mein chal raha hai, jisse shayad woh expensive broadcast rights buy karne ka apna approach badal rahe honge. Ab unke liye payment ensure karna aur stable operations maintain karna top priorities ban gaye hain. Is deal ke cancel hone se Women's Premier League bhi affect hui hai, jo dikhata hai ki partner ka payment default ka issue sirf IPL tak hi simit nahi tha.
Emerging Markets Ke Risks
Bangladesh mein hui ye deal ka fallout emerging markets mein media rights deals ke bade risks ko expose karta hai. JioStar ke liye, TSports ka paisa na de paana, partner choose karne aur unke finances check karne mein weaknesses ko highlight karta hai. Media trade mein overall imbalance bhi ek factor hai, jahan Indian broadcasters ko Bangladesh mein limited access milta hai aur unke paise pending rehte hain, jabki Bangladeshi sports content India mein monetize hota hai. IPL ka global revenue itna strong hai ki Bangladesh viewership se koi bada fark nahi padega, lekin JioStar aur TSports ke liye seedha financial impact kafi bada hai. Ye sab sawal uthata hai ki aise sub-licensing models kitne successful ho sakte hain jab partners bar-bar paisa dene mein fail ho jayein, especially aise regions mein jahan political sensitivity commercial agreements ko jaldi affect kar sakti hai. Ye alag aur unpredictable markets mein rights chase karne wale broadcasters ke liye ek warning hai.
