Govt Ne Warning Di, Par Ye Sun Nahi Rahe!

India ka Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) ne bilkul clear kar diya hai ki Kalshi aur Polymarket jaise prediction market platforms "illegal" hain aur inhe "block" kar dena chahiye. Lekin mazaa toh yeh hai ki yeh platforms abhi bhi Indian users ko invite kar rahe hain aur unko trade karne de rahe hain, desh ke andar ke rules ko side mein rakhte hue.

Naya Law Bhi Lagoo, Phir Bhi Chalta Hai!

Is mamle mein ek naya twist yeh hai ki 25th April ko VPN providers ko bhi ek letter bheja gaya tha ki agar woh aise prohibited platforms tak pahunchne mein madad karenge toh unke khilaaf "legal action" hoga. Iske baad, 1st May ko online gambling ko band karne wala ek naya national law bhi effective ho gaya. Lekin yeh dono platforms abhi bhi chal rahe hain.

Platforms Kya Bol Rahe Hain?

Kalshi ka kehna hai ki woh Indian Govt ke saath baat kar rahe hain aur unhe abhi tak kaam band karne ko nahi bola gaya hai, isliye woh naye customers ko onboard kar rahe hain jinka identity check hota hai. Polymarket toh India ko restricted countries mein list bhi nahi karta aur bolta hai ki woh applicable laws follow kar rahe hain. Haalanki, users ne bataya hai ki inke controls ko bypass karne ke tareeke bhi hain.

Legal experts bata rahe hain ki last August mein aaye aur 1st May se effective hue Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules (PROGA) ke according, Polymarket aur Kalshi jaise prediction markets "online money games" ke category mein aate hain aur clearly banned hain. Kai domestic platforms toh is law ke baad band bhi ho gaye.

Investors Ke Liye Khatra!

Aur suniye, naye law se pehle hi Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) ne warned kiya tha ki yeh "opinion trading" platforms investors ko koi protection nahi dete aur na hi yeh kisi agency dwara control hote hain. Iska matlab, agar kuch gadbad hui toh users ke paas koi recourse nahi hoga.
