Reports bata rahi hain ki FY25 mein India Inc ne legal services par ₹62,146 Cr kharch kiye, jo pichhle saal se 11% zyada hai. Aur yeh kharcha FY26 mein ₹69,000–₹72,000 Cr tak pahunch sakta hai. Poora India ka legal services market ab USD 45.2 Billion ka ho gaya hai aur 2030 tak yeh USD 67.4 Billion tak jaane ka estimate hai, yani 6.7% ki CAGR se grow karega.
Jab market itna badh raha hai, toh naturally lawyers ko bahar opportunities dikh rahi hain. Pata hai, 2025 mein 3,000+ Partners ne firm badli hain, jo pichhle 5 Saal ka record hai. Litigation aur corporate law mein sabse zyada movement hai.
Par firms ke andar bhi issue hai. Bahut se senior lawyers ko lagta hai ki unhe partnership mein utni value nahi mil rahi jitna woh deserve karte hain. Equity milta hai, par woh sirf naam ka (token equity) lagta hai. Isliye woh zyada autonomy (apna kaam karne ki azaadi) aur jaldi career growth chahte hain.
Is situation ka seedha asar bade firms jaise AZB & Partners, JSA Advocates & Solicitors, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, aur Khaitan & Co. par pad raha hai. Jab senior lawyers apne clients leke chale jaate hain, toh firms ka revenue aur reputation dono ko nuksan hota hai. Naye partners ko hire karna bhi mehenga aur risky hota hai.
Ab firms ko apna structure, talent management, governance, aur compensation plans ko seriously rethink karna padega. Agar firms ne leadership structure, succession planning, aur meaningful partnership opportunities nahi di, toh yeh 'partner exodus' rukne wala nahi hai. Future wahi firms ka hai jo zyada institutional, transparent, aur partners ko actual power aur growth de saken.
