Kerala Waqf Board Controversy: Christian Trust ne High Court mein challenge kiya composition aur Munambam land ka issue!

Dekho, Kerala mein ek naya bawaal ho gaya hai! Ek Christian trust ne Waqf Board ke khilaaf High Court mein public interest litigation daal di hai. Matter hai Waqf Board ke composition ka aur Munambam village ki **404 acres** land ko UMEED portal pe list karne ka.

Kya hua?

Assembly of Christian Trust Services (ACTS) naam ki ek Christian charitable organization ne Kerala High Court mein PIL file ki hai. Yeh log Kerala State Waqf Board ki legal validity ko challenge kar rahe hain. Do main issues hain: board ka structure aur Munambam village mein lagbhag 404 acres land ko UMEED portal pe upload karne ka decision.

Board ki composition mein gadbad?

Asli problem ye hai ki current Waqf Board, Waqf Amendment Act, 2025 ke standards ko meet nahi kar raha hai, jo April 2025 mein लागू hua tha. Is Act mein state Waqf boards mein non-Muslim members ko include karne ka rule hai.

ACTS ka kehna hai ki state government ne legally required 2 non-Muslim members ko appoint nahi kiya hai. Petition mein kaha gaya hai ki board mein abhi sirf Muslim members hi hain. Trust ka manna hai ki is wajah se board ka constitution hi legally flawed hai aur iske administrative, supervisory, aur judicial decisions bhi questionable hain.

Munambam land ka funda kya hai?

Iske alawa, Munambam ki 404 acres coastal land ka bhi issue hai. Waqf Board ne is land ki details UMEED portal pe daal di hain, matlab ab yeh Waqf property declare ho gayi hai.

Isse local log pareshan hain kyunki 600+ families—mostly Latin Catholic Christian aur Hindu community se—wahan rehti hain. Unko displacement ka dar hai. ACTS ka kehna hai ki jo board khud legally correct nahi hai, woh itne sensitive property matter pe kaise decision le sakta hai?

Court se kya maangi?

Trust ne court se kaha hai ki state government ko naye board members appoint karne ka order de, jo 2025 Amendment Act ke rules follow karein. Saath hi, Munambam land ko UMEED portal pe upload karne ka decision ko legally void declare karne ki maang ki hai.

Interim relief ke taur par, trust chahta hai ki jab tak naya, legally correct board nahi banta, tab tak current board ka functioning suspend kar diya jaaye.
