Iran ka alleged 'Toll Booth' System?
Lloyd's List ki report ke mutabik, Iran ka IRGC Strait of Hormuz mein ek naya system chala raha hai. Iske hisaab se, jo bhi jahaz yahan se guzarna chahte hain, unko full documentation submit karna hoga aur IRGC escorted passage ke liye clearance codes lene honge. Report kehti hai ki March 13 se ab tak 26 vessels ne IRGC vetting scheme follow ki hai, aur March 15 ke baad koi bhi jahaz 'normal' route se nahi guzra hai.

Lekin India ne is kahani ko turant reject kar diya. Ministry of Shipping ke Special Secretary Rajesh Sinha ne saaf saaf bola hai ki aisa koi toll ya levy lagane ki baat bilkul 'baseless' hai. Unhone International Law ka reference dete hue kaha ki Strait of Hormuz jaise important routes par freedom of navigation sabse upar hai aur koi extra charges nahi lag sakte.

Iss sab ke beech, Iran ke Foreign Minister ne kaha hai ki 'friendly countries' jaise China, Russia, India, Iraq aur Pakistan ke liye passage allowed hai. Tehran ne UN mein bhi clarify kiya hai ki 'non-hostile vessels' agar Iran ke khilaaf koi aggression nahi karte aur safety rules follow karte hain, toh safe passage milega, bas pehle Iranian authorities se baat karni hogi. Is confusion ki wajah se international shipping operators pareshan hain ki kya hoga is vital route ka. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres ne bhi concern jataya hai aur is conflict ko turant khatam karne ki appeal ki hai.
