IRDAI ne insurance commissions ko cap karne ka proposal rakha hai, jo kabhi-kabhi **93%** tak pahunch jaate hain. Is transparency drive ke baad insurance stocks mein heavy selling dikhi hai. Investors ki nazar ab **25 October** ki deadline par hai.
Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) ne insurance distribution ke pure system ko badalne ki taiyari kar li hai. 23 September 2026 ko aaye consultation paper mein regulator ne saaf kar diya hai ki industry mein commission structure bahut opaque aur inefficient ho gaya hai.
Commissioner Ajay Seth ka stand
Chairman Ajay Seth ke leadership mein regulator ne ye expose kiya hai ki distributors ka commission premium se bhi fast grow kar raha hai. Kuch cases mein toh commission 93% tak gaya hai, aur auto insurance mein ye 38% tak hai. Iska seedha matlab hai ki agents sirf wahi product bechte hain jahan unhe mota commission mile, na ki wo jo customer ke liye best ho.
Market mein kyu macha hai panic?
Is news ke aate hi market mein halchal mach gayi. 24 September 2026 ko insurance sector ke shares dhada-dhad gire. Khaaskar PB Fintech jaise stocks mein 36% tak ka bhari girawat dekhi gayi, kyunki investors ko darr hai ki agar commission cap hua toh in digital brokers ki kamai par bura asar padega.
Business model par khatra
IRDAI ke naye proposals mein strict commission caps aur 'clawback' rules ki baat ki gayi hai. Agar ye lagu hota hai, toh banks aur web aggregators ke liye mushkil ho sakti hai. Jin companies ka poora business model high-margin fees aur aggressive cross-selling par tika hai, unke profit margins par dabav aana tay hai.
Aage kya?
Public comments ke liye window 25 October 2026 tak khuli hai. Halanki ye abhi proposal stage par hai, lekin regulator ka irada saaf hai. Industry players lobbying mein jut gaye hain, lekin investors ko 2027 ki early implementation deadline par nazar rakhni hogi.
