SAIL Ka Bade Contract Job Cuts Ka Plan!

Toh hua ye hai ki SAIL ne Ministry of Steel ke kehne par apna contract workforce 40% tak ghatane ka plan banaya hai, target hai March 2027. Company already 18.8% reduction kar chuki hai, jo unka pichla target tha. Ye sab chal raha hai costs kam karne aur efficiency badhane ke liye. Lekin, bhai, iska toh Union ne virodh karna shuru kar diya hai!

Costs Kam Karne Ka Pressure Aur Targets

SAIL chahti hai ki March 2027 tak 40% contract staff kam ho jaaye. Fiscal year 2025-26 tak 20% tak ka reduction ho chuka hai. Ab ministry ka naya order hai ki April 2025 se aur 20% kam karna hai, taaki total 40% ka cut ho sake 2027 tak. Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) mein 10,230 se 7,678 contract workers karne ka target hai, matlab 2,552 jobs kam hongi. SAIL Refractory Unit (SRU) mein bhi 1,956 se 1,173 workers ka target hai, jisse 783 jobs par asar padega. Ye sab ho raha hai company ke profits ko improve karne ke liye. Haalanki mid-2026 mein SAIL ka market cap $15 billion tha aur P/E ratio 15x ke aas paas tha, jo dikhata hai ki investors efficiency se umeed kar rahe hain.

Market Ka Pressure Aur Competitors

Indian steel industry mein abhi kaafi pressure hai, raw material ke daam upar neeche ho rahe hain aur global competition bhi hai. Isi wajah se SAIL jaise companies apne kharch control karne ki koshish kar rahi hain. Tata Steel aur JSW Steel bhi apni operations ko streamline kar rahe hain. Steel sector mein sabhi efficiency chahte hain, lekin sabka tarika alag hai. Toh, SAIL ke ye cuts ek bada step hai.

Union Ka Virodh: Safety Aur Job Loss Ka Darr

Magar, is 40% cut se unions ko badi chinta ho rahi hai. Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) aur uski affiliate Bharatiya Ispat Mazdoor Mahasangh (BIMS) ne kaha hai ki agar itne workers kam ho gaye, toh bache hue workers par bohot pressure aa jayega. Isse accidents ka risk badh jayega, fatigue badhegi, aur plant ki safety bhi kharab ho sakti hai. Unka ye bhi kehna hai ki hazaron workers ki naukri khatre mein hai, jisse local economies par bhi bura asar padega. Unions ne kaha hai ki Contract Labour Act, 1970 aur Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 ke tehat legal challenges ho sakti hain. Unions ne kuch aur tareeke bhi bataye hain kharch kam karne ke, jaise admin expenses kam karna, energy saving karna, aur recycling badhana.

Aage Kya Hoga?

Unions ne SAIL management se kaha hai ki ye cuts rokein aur workers ke saath baat karein. Lekin Ministry of Steel ka direction clear hai ki workforce kam karna hai. Ab dekhna ye hai ki SAIL apni efficiency goals kaise achieve karti hai, woh bhi plant ki safety aur workers ki security ko maintain karte hue.
