Toh hua yun ki Meghalaya mein coal transport ko lekar ek high court-appointed committee ne ek report nikali hai, aur usmein bade khulase hue hain. Reports ke hisaab se, do cement companies ne Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), 2024 ke rules ko nazarandaaz karte hue February 2023 se February 2024 tak 2.93 lakh metric tons se zyada coal nikala.
Sabse badi gadbad yeh hai ki inke paas zaroori approvals the hi nahi. Na koi proper transit documents jaise challans, invoices, weighment slips the, aur na hi weekly reports submit ki gayi. Yeh koi pehli baar nahi hua, kuch din pehle bhi aise hi ek mamle mein bina authorization ke coal transport hua tha.
Is saari gadbad se poore coal sector mein supply chain ki reliability par sawaal khada ho gaya hai. Jo companies coal par depend karti hain, specially cement makers, unko future mein badi dikkat aa sakti hai. Agar strict rules aur enforcement hui toh logistics ka kharcha badhega, jisse profit margin kam ho sakta hai. Aur jo companies abhi rules follow kar rahi hain ya jinke paas achha compliance system hai, woh is competition mein aage nikal jayengi.
Committee ne suggestions diye hain ki ab GPS tracking, alag colour ke vehicles, specific routes aur checkpoints jaisi cheezein laani padengi taaki sab kuch transparent ho sake. Lekin is sab mein companies ka operational kharcha zarur badhega. Agar investigation aur tez hui toh companies ko operation bandh karna pad sakta hai ya phir bade fines lag sakte hain.
Isliye, companies ke liye yeh zaroori hai ki woh abhi se strict SOPs follow karein aur apne supply chains ko theek se manage karein, warna aage chal kar mushkil ho sakti hai.
