Kalliyath Steel: Kerala mein ₹500 Crore ka Naya Green Plant Launch! Kya Industry Badlegi?
Overview

Kalliyath Group ne Kerala mein ₹500 Crore ka apna naya 'Green Core' green steel plant shuru kar diya hai. Ye facility energy aur paani bachane wali advanced technologies se bhari hai aur India ki green economy ko support karegi. Lekin bhai, Indian steel market mein filhal kaafi pressure aur competition hai.

Toh bhaiyo, Kalliyath Group ne Kerala mein ₹500 Crore ka jo naya 'Green Core' plant lagaya hai na, woh India ke manufacturing sector mein sustainability laane ka ek zabardast move hai. Yeh plant actual mein Direct Hot Charging, energy-saving furnaces aur paani bachane wali techniques use kar raha hai, jisse environment impact kam ho. Industry mein bhi cleaner production ki taraf trend badh raha hai.

Tech Jo Paani Aur Bijli Bachaye!

Yeh ₹500 Crore ka 'Green Core' project environment ko bachane ke liye next-level technologies laya hai. Direct hot charging aur rolling se energy use 30-50% tak kam hoga, saal mein over 3.54 million units bijli bachegi. IGBT-based furnaces se bhi 1.18 million units bijli har saal bachaane ka andaaza hai. Paani ki baat karein toh, dry cooling systems se process water use 99% tak kam ho jayega. Rainwater harvesting aur groundwater management se bhi saal mein lagbhag 1.87 lakh kilolitres paani bachane ka plan hai. Is project se 1,000 se zyada jobs bhi create honge aur recycled steel ko raw material ke taur par use kiya jayega.

Indian Steel Market Ki Kahani: Demand Hai, Par Pressure Bhi!

India ka steel sector economic growth ka engine hai, aur FY2026 mein demand 9-10% badhne ka expectation hai. India ki crude steel capacity 2035 tak 260-280 million tonnes tak pahunch sakti hai. Lekin, market mein bhai, kaafi competition hai. Supply zyada hone se prices par pressure hai. Domestic hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices FY2026 mein around ₹50,500 per tonne rahe hain, aur operating margins 12.5% ke aas-paas rehne ka andaaza hai.

Bade Players Bhi Pichhe Nahi!

Industry ke bade players bhi sustainability mein bada paisa laga rahe hain. JSW Steel (market cap ₹3.01tn ke aas-paas) 2050 tak carbon neutral hone ka target rakhta hai. Tata Steel (₹2.37tn se zyada value) 2045 tak net-zero emissions ka goal rakhe hue hai aur green hydrogen par kaam kar raha hai. SAIL bhi hydrogen blending try kar raha hai. Kalliyath ka focus efficiency par hai, jabki ye bade players apne bade operations ko green bana rahe hain.

Green Steel Ka Tedha Raasta: Challenges Aur Mehngai

Kalliyath jaise projects ko industry ke kayi challenges face karne pad rahe hain. ₹500 Crore ki investment green steel ke liye high capital cost dikhati hai, jo isko difficult bana sakta hai. Kai steel makers abhi bhi traditional methods se capacity badha rahe hain. Green steel banane ka extra cost $210 per tonne tak ja sakta hai, jab traditional steel prices kam hain. Raw material prices mein fluctuations aur China jaise countries se high exports bhi market ko affect kar rahe hain.

India Mein Green Steel Ka Future Kya Hai?

India mein green steel ki demand badh rahi hai, FY2030 tak 4.49 million tonnes tak pahunchne ka projection hai. Government ka support aur Green Steel Taxonomy jaise frameworks investment ko badhayenge. Sector ko 2030-31 tak $156 billion se zyada ki investment chahiye hogi 300 million tonnes per year capacity tak pahunchne ke liye. Kalliyath ke 'Green Core' jaise projects yeh dikhayenge ki industry growth ko sustainability aur profit ke saath kaise balance kar pati hai.
