India Cold Chain: Urban Demand Ka Naya Challenge! Kya Logistics Giants kar Payenge Adapt?
Overview

India ka cold chain market ab ek naye phase mein hai. Saalon se bade warehouses par focus tha, par ab quick commerce aur e-grocery ne shehron mein chote, smart cold storage ki demand badha di hai. Is badlav ko pakadne ke liye Snowman Logistics aur Mahindra Logistics jaise companies apni strategies change kar rahi hain.

Market Mein Chal Kya Raha Hai?

Dekho bhaiyo, India ka cold chain market 2024 mein lagbhag ₹2.28 trillion ka ho gaya hai aur aage bhi double-digit CAGR se badhega 2028 tak. Pehle toh dairy, meat, seafood aur pharma jaise cheezon ke liye bade warehouses ban rahe the. Par ab ek naya trend aa gaya hai – quick commerce aur e-grocery ki wajah se fast delivery ki demand. Iska matlab hai ki ab bade-bade warehouses se kaam nahi chalega, shehron ke andar chote-chote, smart 'micro-fulfillment centers' banane padenge. Toh sawaal yeh hai ki kya companies is naye demand ke hisaab se apne models badal payengi ya nahi.

Urban Micro-Fulfilment Ka Pressure

Yeh sub-15-minute delivery waali companies ne sab kuch palat diya hai. Inhe ab customer ke paas hi cold storage chahiye, na ki shehar ke bahar bade godaam. Iske liye companies ko alag-alag temperature maintain karne wale advanced systems chahiye. Sarkari schemes jaise PMKSY Cold Chain aur PM GatiShakti infrastructure ko improve kar rahi hain, par urban, fast delivery ke liye special solutions chahiye. Snowman Logistics jaise companies jo saal mein ₹100-150 crore tak ka CapEx karke khud ke warehouses bana rahi hain, unhe yeh dhyan dena hoga ki yeh naye assets is urban demand ko poora karein. Wahi Mahindra Logistics, jo apni profitability par focus kar rahe hain, unhe apne bade scale ka use karke in urban logistics needs ko apne system mein integrate karna hoga.

Kahaaniyan Snowman Aur Mahindra Ki

Snowman Logistics ne capacity toh badhai hai, par naye warehouses hone ki wajah se unka utilization aur margins thoda affect hua hai. Pichhle ek saal mein stock 27.7% neeche gira hai. Unka EV/EBITDA multiple lagbhag 12x hai, aur ROCE 4.2% hai, matlab abhi efficiency badhane ka scope hai. Analyst zyada confident nahi hain, price targets ₹70-80 ke aas paas hain.

Dusri taraf, Mahindra Logistics ne toh kamaal kar dikhaya hai! 11 loss-making quarters ke baad, Q3 mein company wapas profit mein aa gayi hai. Revenue 19% badhkar ₹1,898 crore ho gaya hai aur gross margins 2.4% ho gaye hain. Unka target hai ki September 2026 tak unused capacity ko 95% tak kam kar dein. Halanki unka zyada revenue auto sector ( 62% ) se aata hai, woh ab e-commerce aur consumer goods mein bhi ja rahe hain. Inka EV/EBITDA multiple 14x hai, aur ROCE 5.6% hai. Pichhle ek saal mein stock 9.5% upar gaya hai. Analysts bhi inki recovery se khush hain, price targets ₹220-240 ke aas paas hain.

Competition Aur Valuation

Bade players mein ColdEx, Crystal Logistic Solutions aur Delhivery jaise companies bhi hain. Par Snowman aur Mahindra logistics apne integrated models ke saath khaas hain. Dono companies ka valuation abhi bahut zyada nahi lag raha, matlab recovery ka expectation already price mein hai. Aage chal kar acchi earnings ke liye capacity utilization badhana, margins improve karna aur naye demands ko manage karna bahut zaroori hoga. Pharma companies toh ab GDP standards follow karne wale providers ko hi prefer kar rahi hain, toh specialization bhi important hai.
