AM/NS India, matlab ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, Andhra Pradesh mein ek mega greenfield integrated steel plant laga raha hai. Isme lagbhag ₹1.5 lakh crore ka bada investment hone wala hai. Yeh project sirf production badhane ke liye nahi hai, balki sustainable manufacturing mein bhi AM/NS India ko India ka leader banane ka plan hai. 'Green Steel' Ka Naya Trend
Company ka goal hai ki Ministry of Steel se 'Green Steel' certification mile. Yeh India ki industry ko carbon-free banane ki strategy ke liye bahut important hai. December 2024 mein hi India ne Green Steel Taxonomy launch ki thi, jisme steel ko uske carbon emission ke hisaab se classify kiya jaata hai. Toh AM/NS India is race mein sabse aage rehna chahta hai, kyunki aajkal ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) bahut matter karta hai. Competition mein Tata Steel (jo 2045 tak net-zero chahta hai) aur JSW Steel (jo 2050 tak carbon neutrality target kar raha hai) bhi sustainability par kaam kar rahe hain. AM/NS India ka plan hai ki 2027 tak unki 70% production green technology se ho. Duniya bhar mein bhi green steel ki demand badh rahi hai kyunki regulations aur eco-friendly products ki maang badh rahi hai.
Desh Ka Naya Manufacturing Powerhouse
Is project mein total investment ₹1.5 lakh crore hai. Pehle phase mein ₹70,000 crore lagaye jayenge. Jab yeh poora ho jayega, toh production capacity 17.8 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) ho jayegi. Itne bade scale par yeh India ke sabse bade steel plants mein se ek hoga. India ki overall steel capacity 2050 tak 430 MT tak pahunchne ka target hai. Is project se lagbhag ek lakh (1,00,000) direct aur indirect jobs create hongi, jo region ki economy ke liye bahut achha hai. Aur haan, ek captive port bhi banega jisme ₹11,000 crore aur lagayenge, jo export ko easy karega aur shayad 6,000 aur jobs bhi dega.
Andhra Pradesh Bana Investment Ka Hub
Andhra Pradesh ab ek bada industrial center banta ja raha hai. Yahan ki policies, approvals aur infrastructure development ne AM/NS India ko attract kiya hai. State government ne land allocation aur approvals ko fast-track karke is project mein help ki hai, jo India mein bade projects ke liye ek badi baat hai. Road connectivity aur power/water supply bhi improve ho rahi hai. Yeh project Visakhapatnam region ko ek major industrial hub bana dega aur state ke manufacturing sector ko boost karega.
Competition Mein Kaun Hai?
India ka steel market kaafi competitive hai. Tata Steel aur JSW Steel jaise players bhi apni capacity badha rahe hain aur sustainability par focus kar rahe hain. Tata Steel 2045 tak net-zero ka target rakhta hai aur low-carbon products jaise Zeremis® Carbon Lite launch kar raha hai. JSW Steel bhi energy aur water efficiency par dhyan de raha hai aur GreenEdge naam ka low-emission steel brand offer karta hai. AM/NS India ke green steel goals aur yeh bada plant ise is market mein ek strong competitor banayenge. Company ki CO₂ emissions intensity already national average se 14% kam hai, aur unka goal 2030 tak 20% reduction ka hai. Naye plant ka location aur captive port bhi domestic aur export markets ke liye faydemand hoga.
Risks Aur Regulatory Hurdles
Sab kuch smooth nahi chalega. Environmental approvals bahut zaroori hain aur kuch delays hue hain kyunki naye compliance guidelines par clarification chahiye thi. Raw material jaise low-ash metallurgical coke ke import limits bhi production ko affect kar sakte hain. Itne bade project ka environmental impact manage karna bhi ek challenge hai. Saath hi, fair job creation aur land acquisition/resettlement ko bhi dhyan se handle karna hoga. 'Green Steel' certification ke liye latest regulations follow karna aur emissions reduction technology mein invest karna bhi ongoing process hai.
Future Outlook
AM/NS India ka yeh project sirf jobs se zyada important hai. Yeh India ko sustainable manufacturing mein global leader banane ke goal ko support karta hai. Green steel aur modern practices par focus hone ke baad, yeh project future market trends ka fayda uthayega, especially jab sustainable products ki demand badhegi policy aur global decarbonization efforts ke karan.
