IIT Madras Research Park ne Phyto-Innovation Accelerator ka inauguration kiya hai, jiska main goal hai researchers aur startups ki lab-grown plant innovations ko commercial market mein lana. Union Education Minister Prahlad Joshi ne October 8, 2026 ko iska udghatan kiya. Biotech sector mein sabse badi problem ye hoti hai ki research lab mein toh achi hoti hai, par industrial scale par fail ho jati hai—ye accelerator isi gap ko bharne ke liye aaya hai.
Biotech Scaling ka game plan
Ye accelerator Herbalife-IIT Madras Centre of Excellence ke under kaam karega, jo plant cell fermentation technology mein expert hai. Iska focus sustainable tarike se herbal biomass aur high-value extracts banana hai. Traditional kheti mein supply inconsistent hoti hai, lekin biotechnology ke through controlled environment mein production karne se supply chain zyada stable banegi.
Investors ke liye kyun zaruri hai?
Halanki ye abhi koi stock market event nahi hai, par ye India ke Deep-tech aur Biotech ecosystem ki badti taakat ko dikhata hai.
