Renewables ki taraf OIL ka kadam
Oil India Ltd (OIL) ab apna ek alag renewable energy wing, OIL Green Energy Ltd (OGEL) bana rahi hai. Isse woh apne oil aur gas business ke saath sustainable energy ko bhi jod rahe hain. Hindustan Waste Treatment (HWT) ke saath partnership se, OIL biogas industry ki common challenges ko deal karne ki koshish karegi. Ye joint venture compressed biogas (CBG) aur sustainable resource recovery par focus karega, jo government ke natural gas aur renewables use badhane ke plans ko support karta hai.
India ke Biogas Sector mein Challenges
India mein compressed biogas sector abhi bhi start hi hua hai. Government policies jaise SATAT scheme aur blending mandates direction toh dete hain, par projects aksar der se chalte hain. Sabse badi problem technological nahi hai, balki consistent aur high-quality feedstock supply milna mushkil hai. Biogas production alag alag waste streams par depend karta hai jo season aur location ke hisaab se badalte rehte hain, isliye chote operations zyada profitable nahi ho paate.
Investors ke liye Concerns
Investors ko OIL ke is expansion ko realistic expectations ke saath dekhna chahiye kyunki biogas sector mein risks hain jinhe OIL ko manage karna hoga. Compressed biogas projects mein shuru mein hi kaafi paisa lagta hai, initial investment almost 90% hoti hai. Ismein guaranteed take-or-pay contracts nahi hote, isliye demand ka risk hai. India mein kai biogas plants feedstock ki kami aur purity problems ke karan 20% se 60% tak hi use ho paate hain. OIL ki financial position strong hai aur state ka support bhi hai, par woh aise market mein enter kar rahe hain jahan private firms pehle hi kam profit margins face kar chuki hain. Regulatory issues, environmental factors, aur raw waste materials ke liye price controls ka na hona is market ko volatile banata hai, jo in green energy ventures se expected returns ko affect kar sakta hai.
Growth ki Possibilities
In operational challenges ke bawajood, Oil India ki recent quarters mein performance kaafi achhi rahi hai, consolidated net profit mein 60% se zyada ka increase dikha hai. Company ke existing pipeline infrastructure aur Numaligarh Refinery mein stake unke liye CBG distribution ko scale up karne mein faydemand ho sakta hai. Analysts ka OIL ke stock par outlook positive hai, agar company apne core upstream business profitability ko affect kiye bina apne naye green projects ko successfully integrate kar paati hai.
