Arey, ye 257.37 Gigawatts ka figure kya hai, pata hai? Ye hai India ki peak power demand ka naya record jo pichle Monday ko bana. Sabse bada reason? Ye bhayanak garmi jisse bachne ke liye sabke gharon aur offices mein AC aur coolers full speed mein chal rahe hain. Good news ye hai ki apna power grid is surge ko handle kar paya aur kahin bhi cut nahi laga.

Abhi toh picture baaki hai mere dost! Power Ministry ka kehna hai ki summer mein demand 270 GW tak ja sakti hai. India Meteorological Department ne bhi north-west aur central India ke liye heatwave ki warning de rakhi hai, jahan temperature 45 degrees Celsius ke aas paas pahunch raha hai. Bathinda aur Rajasthan ke kuch areas mein toh 46 degrees Celsius bhi cross hua!

Waise bhi, April se hi demand badh rahi thi, lekin May mein toh yeh rocket ban gayi hai. Log garmi se bachne ke liye cooling appliances ka use bahut zyada kar rahe hain. Pichhle saal ka record 242.77 GW tha, jise is saal May 2024 mein hi 250 GW aur ab 257.37 GW se tod diya gaya hai.
