Last-Mile Connections Atak Gaye
India ka bada pipe gas (PNG) plan ek badi problem mein phans gaya hai – certified gas plumbers ki zabardast kami ho gayi hai. Desh ka 2030 tak 125 million gharon ko connect karne ka goal risk mein hai, kyunki City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies last-mile connections complete karne ke liye struggle kar rahi hain. Skill Gap Ka Bada Maamla
Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas ka target hai roz 100,000 naye PNG connections lagane ka, par CGD companies sirf 8,000 se 10,000 hi laga pa rahi hain. Industry experts maan rahe hain ki system ready nahi hai, aur certified professionals ki kami sabse badi problem hai. India mein plumbers ki badi workforce hai, par most of them ke paas gas line ke liye zaroori formal certifications aur skills nahi hain. Target poora karne ke liye tens of thousands more certified plumbers chahiye. Current training programs, jo aksar sirf water plumbers ke liye 3-4 hafte ke hote hain, unmein gas pressure systems, leak detection aur safety ke liye sufficient knowledge nahi milta. Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) mein bhi plumber trades ke liye bahut limited seats hain, aur woh bhi zyada popular subjects se compete karte hain.
Kam Paisa Aur Workers Ki Migration
Skilled workers ko attract karna aur unhe rokna bhi mushkil hai kyunki pay bohot kam hai. Plumbers ko typically mahine mein INR18,000 se INR20,000 milte hain, aur gas work ke risks ke liye koi extra compensation nahi milta. Kai plumbers piece-rate basis par kaam karte hain, jisme unhe daily wages milte hain jo job availability par depend karte hain. Supply ki problem ko aur badhate hue, kai plumbers West Bengal aur Odisha jaise states se aate hain. Yeh workers aksar seasonal basis par kheti ya election duties ke liye chale jaate hain, aur unka wapas aana pakka nahi hota, jisse labor pool unreliable ho jata hai. Yeh informal segment, jo estimated 4.2 million hai, grow to kar raha hai par formal certification ke bahar hai, jisse quality aur safety mein continuous challenges aa rahi hain. Ek strong, certified, aur stable plumbing workforce ki kami India ke energy transition goals ke liye ek major hurdle hai.
