Private Stations Band, IOC ne Sambhala Maidan!

Karnataka mein 300 se zyada private auto LPG dispensing stations ya toh band ho gaye hain ya phir partially chal rahe hain. Is situation ka fayda uthate hue, Indian Oil Corporation (IndianOil) ne emergency mein apna supply kaafi badha diya hai. Ab auto-rickshaws aur LPG cars ke liye IndianOil hi main fuel source ban gaya hai. Company apne state ke 55 Auto LPG Dispensing Stations (ALDS) se ye demand poori kar rahi hai. Iski wajah se, IndianOil ke ALDS par rozana sales 59.53 metric tonnes (MT) ho gayi hai, jo pehle ke 3 mahine ke average 43.4 MT se kaafi zyada hai. Government ne bhi kaha hai ki uninterrupted supply dena important hai.

PSU Power: India Ke Fuel Market Ka Asli Khiladi

Ye jo Karnataka mein gadbad hui na, usse pata chalta hai ki Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) India ke energy sector mein kitne strong hain. 2022 mein, IndianOil ka petroleum products mein market share lagbhag 38% tha. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) aur Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) ka milakar share 20.1% aur 18% tha. Matlab, 2025 tak ye PSUs total 79.25% retail fuel market control kar sakte hain. Private players ka share iske samne bahut kam hai. IndianOil ka extensive network aur supply chain ab bahut kaam aa raha hai jab private operators instability dikha rahe hain.

Auto LPG: Sasta Aur Accha Fuel, Par Challenges Bhi Bahut!

Waise toh Auto LPG duniya mein third sabse popular automotive fuel hai, par India mein abhi bhi iska consumption bahut kam hai. Indian Auto LPG Coalition (IAC) kehti hai ki ye petrol aur diesel se kam pollution karta hai (lower CO2, particulate matter, aur NOx emissions) aur 40% tak sasta bhi padta hai. Lekin sabse badi dikkat ye hai ki ispar koi government subsidy nahi hai, jabki Electric Vehicles (EVs) aur Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) ko incentives milte hain. Aur 2019 se toh Auto LPG waale naye vehicles ki sales bhi kam ho gayi hai. Karnataka government toh businesses ke liye Piped Natural Gas (PNG) ko promote kar rahi hai, par auto LPG supply par iska direct effect nahi hai.

IOC Ke Liye Mauka: Market Share Badhane Ka Time?

Abhi jo market situation bani hai, usse IndianOil aur baaki PSUs ko apna market position aur mazboot karne ka achha mauka mila hai. Wo demand surges ko handle kar sakte hain aur consistent supply de rahe hain, jisse unki reliability aur badh rahi hai. Agar India ko Auto LPG market ko seriously grow karna hai, toh government policy, possible incentives aur vehicle conversions par dhyan dena padega. Ujjwala Yojana jaisi schemes ne dikhaya hai ki government support kitna impactful ho sakta hai. Is sab mein, IndianOil apne bade scale aur infrastructure se private operators se market share cheen sakta hai.
