Licence mil gaya, kaam chalu!

Simple words mein bole toh, AERB ne ab Kudankulam ke Units 5 aur 6 ke liye bade bade parts lagane ki permission de di hai. Iske liye proper safety checks kiye gaye hain, aur sab national aur international standards ke according hai. Ab reactor vessels aur pumps jaise important cheezein lagayi jaa sakti hain, taaki ye 1,000 MW ke reactors jaldi operational ho sakein. Ye India ki energy security ke liye bohot important hai.

Russia ke saath purani yaari!

Ye jo Kudankulam Units 5 & 6 ke liye approval mili hai na, ye dikhata hai ki India aur Russia ke beech nuclear energy par kitni achhi partnership hai, jo 1988 se chal rahi hai. Russia ka Rosatom isme technology aur fuel ka main supplier hai. India ka target hai 2047 tak 100 GW nuclear power capacity tak pahunchna, aur usme Kudankulam jaise projects ka bada role hai. India alag alag energy sources ko balance karne ki koshish kar raha hai.

Project ka scale aur challenges

Basically, Kudankulam mein total 6 VVER-1000 reactors lagne wale hain, jinse 6,000 MW electricity banegi. Units 1 & 2 already chal rahe hain, aur 3 & 4 ban rahe hain. Units 5 & 6 par lagbhag ₹50,000 crore (yaani $7.3 billion) kharch hone wala hai, aur sabhi 6 units ka total cost ₹1.11 trillion (yani $16.3 billion) ke aas-paas hai. Duniya bhar mein aise nuclear projects mein aksar der ho jaati hai, India mein bhi ek reactor ko banne mein lagbhag 10 saal lag sakte hain. Production mein delays aur cost increase bhi ho sakta hai. Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) ko time par kaam khatam karna hoga, shayad 2027 tak Units 5 & 6 ready ho jayen. Iske alawa, solar aur wind jaise renewable energy ke saste hone se bhi nuclear projects ko competition mil raha hai.
