(IGGEFIL), jo Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) ki poori tarah se owned subsidiary hai, ne apna pehla international loan approve kar diya hai. Yeh $22.5 million ka facility Zambia ke Serenje District mein 100 MW photovoltaic solar power project ko finance karne ke liye hai.

Yeh decision, jo New Delhi mein IGGEFIL ki board meeting mein final hua, IREDA ke global renewable energy financing operations ke expansion ke liye bahut important hai. Isse IGGEFIL, jo Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) mein hai, ko poori duniya mein green energy initiatives ke liye competitive international capital use karne ka mauka milega.

IGGEFIL ko specifically GIFT City mein establish kiya gaya tha taaki overseas green energy financing aur cross-border renewable energy investments ko facilitate kiya ja sake. Yeh sanction uske international lending operations ki shuruaat ka ishara hai.
