Fortum ne raddi ki Glida ki deal! EV charging business bechne ka plan hua cancel

Finnish giant Fortum ne apna Indian EV charging business, Glida, JBM Group ko bechne ka irada badal diya hai. Company ne **961** charging points ka network apne paas retain karne ka faisla kiya hai.

Deal kyon cancel hui?

Finnish energy company Fortum Oyj ne apna mind change kar liya hai. Company pehle apne Indian subsidiary 'Glida' ko Gurugram-based JBM Group ko bechne wali thi, par ab wo deal puri tarah se khatam ho chuki hai. Iska seedha matlab hai ki ab Fortum apne 961 charging points ko khud hi handle karegi.

EV Sector ka current scene

India mein EV adoption tezi se badh raha hai. Vahan registry ke data ke mutabik, 2026 ke pehle 10 mahino mein adoption rate 10% ke paar nikal gaya hai, jo 2022 ke mukable kaafi bada jump hai. Lekin, charging station chalaana koi baccho ka khel nahi hai, ye kaafi capital-intensive business hai. Tata Power aur Jio-bp jaise bade players yahan pehle se hi heavy investment kar rahe hain.

Investors ke liye kya hai catch?

Sabse bada challenge hai 'Profitability'. Industry experts ka kehna hai ki jab tak EV penetration 20% ke mark ko cross nahi karta, tab tak sustainable profit dikhna mushkil hai. Abhi companies high setup cost aur fluctuating utilization rates se jujh rahi hain.

Aage kya focus rahega?

Ab investors ko ye dekhna hoga ki Fortum apne in 961 points ka use kaise karti hai. Kya wo nayi funding daal kar network badaayenge ya phir existing locations ko optimize karenge? Is sector mein survival ke liye cost management aur service differentiation hi asli game-changer honge.
