Adani Power ka Profit Badha, Par Qyu?

Dekho bhai, Adani Power ne Q4 FY26 mein shareholders ka dil jeet liya profit ke numbers se. Net profit 64% saal-dar-saal badh kar ₹4,271 Crore ho gaya, jo last year ₹2,599 Crore tha. Magar asli kahani yeh hai ki is boom ka sabse bada reason hai tax expenses mein hui 83% ki zabardast cutting, na ki company ke kaam mein koi bada growth.

Revenue aur Operational Performance Ka Kya?

Total revenue 10% badh kar ₹15,989 Crore hua, par jab operations ki baat aati hai, toh thoda dhyan dena padega. Operational profit (EBITDA) sirf 9.3% badh kar ₹5,573 Crore hua. Aur revenue from operations toh halka sa 0.10% gir kar ₹14,233 Crore ho gaya. Matlab saaf hai, profit tax benefits ki wajah se jyada dikh raha hai.

PPA Power vs Merchant Market Ka Struggle

Company apni 95% capacity ko long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) ke zariye secure kar chuki hai, jaise Maharashtra se 1,600 MW aur Tamil Nadu se 558 MW ke naye PPA. Isse ek stable revenue milta hai. Lekin, merchant aur short-term sales mein volume 5.2 billion units tak gir gaya, aur Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) par prices 12% se bhi zyada kam ho gaye. Matlab spot market mein competition aur demand ka pressure hai.

Valuation Bhi High Hai, Dost!

Adani Power ka Price-to-Earnings (P/E) ratio 33 se 38 ke beech chal raha hai, aur market value ₹4.11 Trillion ke aas-paas hai. Company ka Return on Equity (ROE) 26.1% aur Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) 22.5% hai, jo acche hain. Lekin NTPC jaise competitors ka ROCE sirf 10.83% hai aur P/E ratio 16.32 hai. Matlab Adani Power apne peers ke comparison mein kaafi expensive lag raha hai, especially jab profit quality par sawaal uth rahe hain.

Adani Group Par Lagta Dhyan Toh Hai

Chhodo Adani Power ko, poore Adani Group par hamesha kuch na kuch scrutiny rehti hai. Stock manipulation aur accounting issues ki allegations abhi bhi chal rahi hain. USA mein Gautam Adani par bribery aur fraud ka ilzaam bhi laga hai, jise group ne deny kiya hai. Yeh sab cheezein investors ke trust ko effect kar sakti hain. Haalanki, nuclear energy mein subsidiaries banane jaise diversification plans bhi hain.

Indian Power Sector: Opportunity Ya Challenge?

India ki electricity demand badh rahi hai, around 6-6.5% annually, aur net-zero targets ke liye renewable energy par focus hai. Yeh power producers ke liye badi opportunity hai. Lekin state distribution companies (DISCOMs) ki financial health ek challenge bani hui hai. Adani Power ke PPAs is risk ko kam karte hain, par market ko navigate karna hoga.

Analysts Kehte Hain Kya?

Analyst views mixed hain. Kai log ise "Strong Buy" keh rahe hain, par average target price ₹180.14 ke aas-paas hai, jo current levels se 19% tak ka fall indicate karta hai. Kuch ka target ₹208.2 hai, toh kuch -16.27% downside bhi bata rahe hain. Matlab sabhi bade confident nahi hain.
