States ke beech aajkal data centers attract karne ki hoड़ lagi hai, jismein heavy electricity duty exemptions aur land waivers diye ja rahe hain. Lekin, V. Anantha Nageswaran ne saaf kiya hai ki ye subsidies bina kisi guarantee ke local resources par bojh daal rahi hain. Data center ka hardware sirf 6 saal ke aas-paas chalta hai, aur agar tenant beech mein bhag gaya, toh infrastructure ka sara burden banks aur power companies par aa jayega.
Niti Aayog ka Naya Plan
Ab Niti Aayog ek aisa framework la raha hai jisse approval process mein fiscal discipline rahe. Iska basic matlab ye hai ki:
- States ko sirf badi announcements ke peeche nahi bhagna hai, balki physical readiness (jaise water aur power availability) par focus karna hai.
- Grid upgrades ka kharcha projects khud uthayenge, taxpayers ka paisa nahi.
- Incentives ko ab verified milestones se link kiya jayega.

Future mein subsidy agreements mein minimum-offtake guarantees aur cost-reflective tariffs hone ke chances hain.
