Generating companies ko outstanding dues kam karne ke liye rules banaye gaye hain. Electricity (Late Payment Surcharge) Rules ne ye dues 96% kam kar diye hain, jo 2022 mein ₹1,39,947 crore the ab January 2026 tak ₹4,927 crore ho jayenge. Isse payment cycles bhi kam hue hain, FY 2020-21 mein 178 din se kam hokar FY 2024-25 mein 113 din ho gaye hain, jisse liquidity badhi hai aur new energy projects mein investment ko support mila hai. Ek Group of Ministers (GoM) Finance Commission ki report aur rajyon dwara liabilities lene par charcha karne ke liye milegi. Ye kadam discoms ki long-term financial health ko sunishchit karne ke sarkar ke sankalp ko dikhata hai, jo India ki energy security aur economic growth ke liye zaroori hain.
