Abhi tak humari GDP sirf physical cheezein aur material output count karti hai, par GDKP desh ke vast intellectual aur traditional gyaan ko bhi value dega. Yeh ekdum sahi baat hai ki bahut saari non-industrial skills aur purani wisdom ka economic contribution ab tak count hi nahi ho raha tha.
Gyaan ke chaar pillars!
MoSPI ne GDKP ko naapne ke liye chaar main pillars banaye hain: knowledge khud, uske creators (log ya communities), usko failane wale (entities), aur uske users. Officials keh rahe hain ki yeh 'Fifth Knowledge Revolution' ka hissa hai. Digital time mein information itni tezi se spread ho rahi hai ki abpurane industrial-age accounting methods se kaam nahi chalega.

Patents aur software code toh pehle se hi count hote hain, par GDKP ka focus hai un traditional knowledge par jinhe patent nahi hai. Ismein artisans ki special skills, AYUSH sector ki medicinal knowledge, aur traditional weavers ki techniques sab kuch aayega. Abhi tak in sab cheezon ko humari statistics mein ignore kar diya jata hai, par yeh lakhon logon ki livelihoods ka main source hain. Socho, handloom aur handicraft industry mein kitne saare jobs hain jo generation se chali aa rahi knowledge par based hain.

Yeh initiative India ki economic resilience ko ek naya perspective dega. Jab intangible assets, jaise Geographical Indication (GI) tags se protected cheezein, document hongi, toh government un knowledge keepers ka contribution official record mein la payegi. Investors aur policymakers ke liye yeh bahut accha ho sakta hai kyunki isse traditional knowledge par based industries, jaise wellness, craft, aur indigenous agriculture ko zyada support mil sakta hai.
