India July mein ekdum naya Index of Services Production (ISP) laane wala hai. Isse economic measurement mein ek bada jump aayega. Yeh index services sector ke output ki ek data-driven picture dega, jo pehle ke sentiment-based surveys se alag hoga.
Data kahan se aayega?
ISP mein Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) aur alag-alag government departments ke administrative records se data liya jayega. Isse purani data ki kamiyaan door hongi. April month ka pehla report do mahine ke baad milega. Officials ko umeed hai ki isse quarterly aur provisional national accounts ki accuracy badhegi.
Services ka real output kaise measure hoga?
Abhi tak services sector ke liye HSBC Services Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) jaisi cheezein use hoti hain, jo managers ke perception par based hoti hain. Lekin yeh naya ISP actual output ka direct, quantitative measure dega. Haalanki, health aur education jaise sectors, jo services Gross Value Added (GVA) ka 10% represent karte hain, shuru mein isme include nahi honge.
Global comparison aur India ki growth
Services sector India ke liye ek bada growth driver hai, jisme IT, finance aur logistics ka bada role hai. ISP se in sub-sectors ko track karna aasan ho jayega. India ka yeh move international standards ke saath match karta hai, haalanki kai developed countries mein aise indicators saalon se hain. GSTN data accha hai, lekin health aur education ka exclusion shuru mein iski completeness par sawal uthata hai. Reserve Bank of India bhi services sector ki dynamism ko highlight karta raha hai, toh yeh ISP ek welcome addition hai.
Kuch limitations bhi hain
ISP se accuracy badhegi, lekin kuch problems bhi hain. Health aur education ka shuru mein exclude hona matlab index poora services output nahi dikhayega. GSTN data pe bharosa karne se informal economy ko capture karne mein mushkil ho sakti hai. Do mahine ka reporting lag bhi hai, jo immediate policy adjustments ke liye kaam nahi aayega. Investors dekhenge ki future mein aur kaunse sectors add hote hain.
Aage kya?
July mein launch hone ke baad, ISP India ke services sector ko samajhne ka ek main tool ban jayega. Future mein reporting lag kam karne aur zyada sub-sectors include karne ki koshish rahegi. Yeh index domestic planning aur international benchmarking ke liye bahut important hoga.
