Bro, India mein business karne wali badi foreign liquor companies, jaise Diageo aur Pernod Ricard, Telangana government se pareshan hain. State par lagbhag **$400 million** (yaani **₹3300 Crore**) ka payment baki hai. Ye dispute state-run liquor distribution aur payment terms mein changes ko lekar hai. Investors ke liye, ye ek warning hai ki jahaan government pura supply chain control karti hai, wahan companies ke cash flow aur working capital par risk ho sakta hai.

Kya hua?

India mein kaam karne wali top liquor companies ne Telangana government ke khilaaf ek badi sawaal uthaya hai. Unka kehna hai ki state government ne unka lagbhag 37.25 billion rupees, yaani kareeb $392 million (jo lagbhag ₹3300 Crore banta hai), ka payment abhi tak nahi kiya hai. Ye paisa December 2025 se April 2026 ke beech ka hai. Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Heineken, aur Carlsberg jaise bade players ne kaha hai ki is late payment se unke business mein kaafi financial uncertainty aa gayi hai.

Distribution Ka Risk Samjho

Dekho, India mein kai states mein liquor ka distribution government control karti hai. Telangana bhi unme se ek hai. Yahan company seedha dukaanon ya pubs ko beer-sharab nahi bech sakti. Unhe pehle government ki company ko maal bechna padta hai, aur phir government use aage distribute karti hai. Jab government hi ekmātra kharidar ho, toh companies ko government dwara payment ka intezaar karna padta hai. Agar payment late ho, toh companies ke working capital par seedha asar padta hai, matlab raw material, staff, aur rozmarra ke kharchon ke liye cash ki dikkat ho jati hai.

Payment Terms Mein Gadbad?

Sirf late payment hi nahi, ek aur naya issue bhi samne aaya hai. Companies ka kehna hai ki state government ab unilaterally (apne man se) early payment schemes implement kar rahi hai. Yaani, government keh rahi hai ki agar jaldi payment chahiye toh rate kam karo. Companies ka kehna hai ki ye unke original contract se alag hai. Isse unhe accounting mein bhi dikkat ho rahi hai. Industry ne warn kiya hai ki agar ye old dues clear nahi hue, toh yeh bad debt ban sakte hain, jisse companies ka profit seedha kam hoga.

Market Strategy Par Asar

Sab kuch hone ke bawajood, India international alcohol companies ke liye ek bahut important market hai, kyunki yahan consumers ki sankhya bahut zyada hai aur demand bhi badh rahi hai. Lekin, yahan ka regulatory environment kaafi complex hai. Dusre sectors ki tarah jahan companies ka sales par direct control hota hai, alcohol sector mein state policies, taxes aur government distribution system ka bahut bada role hota hai. Iska matlab hai ki state policy mein ek chhota sa change ya payment mein deri bhi badi se badi company ka cash flow rok sakti hai.

Investors Ko Kya Dekhna Hai?

Jo investors liquor sector mein hain, unhe is dispute ke resolution par nazar rakhni chahiye. Agar state government pending payments clear karti hai ya companies ko write-off karna padta hai (jisse profit kam ho jayega), ye dekhna important hoga. Iske alawa, Telangana ya aise hi model follow karne wale dusre states mein liquor distribution policy mein koi bhi change important hoga. Long-term investors ke liye ye dekhna zaroori hai ki companies government-run buyers ke saath steady cash flow kaise maintain karti hain.
