India Beverage Sector Ko Laga Jatka! Packaging Targets Khatre Mein, rPET Ki Badi Kami
Overview

Yaar, India ki beverage companies ke liye badi tension ho gayi hai. Food-grade recycled PET (rPET) mil hi nahi raha hai, aur iske chakkar mein 2026 tak packaging mein **40%** recycled material use karne ka target miss ho sakta hai.

Target Ambition, Supply Shortage TENSION!

Dekho, govt ne naya rule laya hai ki FY27 se rigid packaging mein 40% recycled PET (rPET) hona chahiye. Yeh Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2026 ke hisaab se hai. Jo companies PET bottles wagera banati hain, unhe yeh target pura karna hai. Lekin problem ye hai ki abhi jitna food-grade rPET (FG-rPET) available hai, woh required amount se bahut kam hai.

Kahan Gayab Ho Raha Hai Sara rPET?

Jo industry body PACE hai na, unka kehna hai ki India mein abhi sirf 3.54 lakh tons FG-rPET ban raha hai, jabki FY27 tak 6.84 lakh tons ki zaroorat padegi! Aur is shortage ka reason ye hai ki textile industry aur export market mein bhi yeh recycled material bahut use ho raha hai. Simple words mein, sab log same cheez ke liye compete kar rahe hain, jisse cost bhi badh rahi hai.

Supply Chain Ka Chakkar Aur Capacity Issue

Is rPET ki kami ke aur bhi reasons hain. Kuch recycled PET toh export ho jata hai cosmetics aur pharma companies ko. Kuch local pharma packaging mein use ho raha hai, jo beverage sector ki strict quality requirements puri nahi karta. Plus, FSSAI approved capacity bhi poori tarah use nahi ho rahi hai, isliye supply chain par aur pressure aa raha hai.

Global Brands Bhi Pareshan

Big global players jaise Coca-Cola aur PepsiCo ne bhi 2030 tak 100% recycled ya recyclable packaging ke goals rakhe hain. India mein unke operations progress kar rahe hain, par FY27 tak 40% rPET ka target achieve karna bahut mushkil ho raha hai current situation mein. Reliance Industries bhi recycling tech mein invest kar raha hai, par abhi pura system develop ho raha hai.

Rule Follow Nahi Kiya Toh Kya Hoga?

Agar companies yeh target pura nahi kar paati hain, toh heavy fines lag sakte hain aur production bhi ruk sakti hai. Ya phir unhe mehnga import kiya hua rPET khareedna padega, jisse unka profit kam ho jayega. PACE ne Environment Ministry se request ki hai ki targets ko thoda realistic banayein, warna companies ke liye yeh bahut bada headache ban jayega.

Aage Ka Kya Plan Hai?

Is gap ko bharne ke liye India ko apni PET recycling infrastructure ko upgrade karna hoga, collection aur sorting ko behtar karna hoga. Government, beverage companies, petrochemical firms aur recyclers sabko milkar kaam karna padega. Ho sakta hai ki targets ko phased tarike se implement kiya jaye ya adjust kiya jaye. Warna yeh ambitious recycled content goals pure karna beverage sector ke liye ek sapna hi reh jayega.
