HUL ka Portfolio Rejig: Health & Wellbeing pe Bada Focus!
Toh bhaiyon aur behno, HUL ne Health & Wellbeing (H&W) segment mein ekdum se big move liya hai. Jo OZiva brand hai na, jismein HUL pehle se invest kar raha tha, ab uska remaining 49% stake bhi poora kharid liya hai, jiske liye company ₹824 Crore cash mein de rahi hai. Is deal ke baad, OZiva ab 100% HUL ki subsidiary ban jayegi.
Aur surprise surprise, iske saath hi HUL ne Nutritionalab jismein unka 19.8% stake tha, woh bhi bech diya hai USV Private Limited ko ₹307 Crore mein. Yeh dono deals FY2026 ke end tak, matlab March 31, 2026 tak poori hone ki ummeed hai.
OZiva Ki Zabardast Growth Aur HUL Ka Strategy
Ab numbers ki baat karein toh, OZiva ne last year FY2024-25 mein ₹257.67 Crore ka turnover dikhaya tha. Aur HUL ke investment ke baad toh bhai kya growth pakdi hai, ab yeh sales ₹480 Crore tak pahunch gaya hai 2025 mein! Pichhle do saal mein iski growth 130% CAGR rahi hai, matlab double se bhi zyada fast pace par grow kar raha hai yeh brand. Wahi, Nutritionalab ka turnover FY2024-25 mein ₹118.48 Crore raha tha, aur HUL isse equity method se account karta tha, matlab uska revenue HUL mein count nahi hota tha.
CEO Priya Nair ne bataya ki yeh sab Health & Wellbeing category ko aur strong banane ke liye hai, jahan growth ke kaafi chances hain. HUL chahta hai ki OZiva jaise brands ko apne science, distribution network aur market development power se aur bade level par le jaye. Basically, HUL ka 'fewer, bigger bets' wala strategy yahan kaam kar raha hai, jahan woh big growth potential wale brands par zyada focus karenge.
Aage Kya Ho Sakta Hai?
Abhi risks ki baat karein toh, sabse bada challenge HUL ke liye yeh hoga ki woh OZiva ke agile D2C business model ko kaise integrate karega jab woh ek badi conglomerate ka hissa ban jayega. Regulatory approvals bhi hain, aur health products ki market mein consumers ki demand kaise badhti hai, yeh bhi ek important factor hoga.
Investors yahi expect karenge ki HUL, OZiva ki current growth momentum ko use karke apne H&W segment mein kamaal kar de aur ise aur bhi zyada scale kare. Nutritionalab se exit karna bhi company ke portfolio ko streamline karne aur jyada impactful assets par focus karne ka sign hai.
