India ki Mineral Independence ka Plan!

Dekho, India government ekdum full power mein hai apni mineral independence ke liye. Ye jo LICO Materials ko grant mila hai na, ye National Critical Mineral Mission (NCMM) ka bada part hai. Is mission ka main goal hai ki India khud critical minerals recover kare aur import par dependency kam kare, especially China se. Sarkaari scheme mein ₹1,500 Crore ka incentive hai jisse old batteries, e-waste, aur industrial scrap se lithium, nickel, cobalt jaise zaroori minerals nikale jayenge. Current situation yeh hai ki India 80% se zyada critical minerals import karta hai, aur lithium, cobalt, nickel toh poore 100% imported hain. Isliye, NCMM FY 2024-25 se FY 2030-31 tak chalegi aur supply chains ko strong karegi.

LICO Materials ka Role Kya Hai?

LICO Materials toh battery circularity par focus kar rahi hai aur apne Karnataka facility mein ₹240 Crore invest bhi kar rahi hai. Poore desh mein se 58 companies mein se LICO ko select kiya gaya hai kyuki unke paas battery chemistry aur hydrometallurgy mein expertise hai. Ye grant LICO ko battery-grade lithium, nickel, aur cobalt banane mein help karega Indian waste se, jo domestic battery makers use karenge. Ye bahut important hai kyunki global supply chains mein siyasi tensions ki wajah se problems aa rahi hain. LICO ka effort seedha India ke goal ko support karta hai ki China jaise countries par reliance kam ho.

Market Mein Bheed Hai!

India ka battery recycling market bhi tezi se badh raha hai. 2030 tak iski value $557 million se $1 billion tak pahunchne ki ummeed hai. Electric vehicle (EV) adoption badh raha hai aur battery waste regulations bhi strict ho rahe hain. Attero Recycling jaise players bhi apna kaam badha rahe hain, jinhone FY25 mein ₹961 Crore revenue report kiya hai. Lohum aur TES-AMM India bhi iss field mein hain. Sarkaari scheme ne ₹5,000 Crore se zyada ka private investment attract kiya hai.

Challenges Toh Hain Boss!

Par itni achhi khabar ke beech kuch challenges bhi hain. India ki high import dependence, especially for lithium aur cobalt, aur China ka global processing mein strong position, supply chain vulnerabilities ko jaldi khatam nahi hone dega. Geopolitical issues, resource nationalism, aur global trade policies raw materials ki access ko disturb kar sakte hain. LICO aur baaki companies ke liye yeh bhi ek challenge hai ki woh India ke badhte EV sector ki demand ko kaise pura karengi. Environmental compliance aur competition bhi bade hurdles hain.

India Ka Sapna Aur Agla Step

NCMM ka target hai ki 2030 tak India ki recycling capacity 400 kilotonnes annually ho jaye aur 40 kilotonnes critical minerals produce hon. Government critical minerals ka six-month strategic reserve bhi bananayegi. Ye sab India ko clean energy goals achieve karne aur global manufacturing hub banne mein help karega. LICO Materials ko mila grant iss bade national strategy ka ek important step hai.
